3/29 - And the inevitable - Alabama rejected me. Not official, but a decision has been made and I can't pay a deposit. Oh well, life goes on. Looks like I'll be going to Elon!! Very excited that my cycle is finally over, and even more excited that I'm going to be VERY happy where I'm at.

I guess my cycle should be a lesson to all the reverse splitters- if you are dead set on T1, you gotta knock that LSAT out of the ballpark - simply getting in the top 1/3rd won't get you in.

3/26- Just call me Dr. Waitlist - waitlisted at Oregon. I'm actually gonna write an LOCI for them.

3/23- Held at South Carolina.

3/21- Sent withdraw letters to Central, Miami, Florida Coastal, and Charleston. Also sent a letter to Mercer withdrawing unless I am able to receive any scholarship money. I'm hoping to at least getting a response to that letter, but after the ASD this weekend, I'm not holding my breath. Still waiting on Alabama, Oregon, and Souther Carolina. I emailed Oregon last week and apparently my application is in the final step of the review process - whatever that means.

2/27- Now pending at Alabama...really nervous now as that's one of my top choices. Florida State accepted me into the Class of 2013 as a transfer student in 2011...weird.

2/24- $15,000/year at Elon!!!

2/20- WTF NCCU?

2/19- Decision made and mailed at Florida State. I'm pretty sure they call if you're accepted, and all my phone calls have come from North Carolina area codes this week.

2/13- In at Elon!

2/12- Decision rendered at NCCU. Apparently so at PSU also, the big no.

2/1- Under review at Elon.

1/25- Well, I was right. I got waitlisted at Miami today. No huge deal since I'm still in the ball game there, but the first non-acceptance is an ego killer.

1/21- No new news. I've heard of people getting acceptances after I went complete at South Carolina, Florida State, and Miami. Doesn't look like I'm going to get much good news anytime soon. Hopes are still high, but reality might be setting in soon.

1/12- In at Charleston via e-mail. Letter is on its way. Received Mercer's snail mail acceptance today.

1/8- In at Mercer. Very excited!

1/6 - In at Florida Coastal w/ a $12,000 scholarship that I got an email about the week before.

Loki - They must not have made a decision. The U sends you an email saying you need to create a MyU account and the decision letter link is smack dab in the middle of the page. B- I agree! Who knew it took so long to get a decision letter!! I've applied to only the day program at NCCU.

How long did it take for you to receive scholarship info, or a formal acceptance packet, for that matter? I got an e-mail saying I was accepted last week, but I still haven't received anything via snail mail. Congrats and thanks for the help!

Sorry to hear about UNC. I am kind of envious, at least you know you are not going there. I am still waiting in limbo and will have to forego them if I do not hear by the 25th. How did they let you know?

Why No Campbell?
Monday, December 14 2009 at 07:00 PM

1) I feel Elon's ceiling is a lot higher than Campbell's. 2) I'd rather live in Greensboro (my hometown) for three years than Raleigh. 3) I have more legal connections in the Triad than I do in the Triangle. 4) I went to a lawyer friend and he said go with the money - and that took me to Elon and I knew Campbell probably wouldn't be as cheap as Elon will be (considering living expenses).

No problem! Good luck at UNC!
