Law school alumni letter are always good. I sent three letters in all, one from a Business reference and two Academic references. If you have already sent in your application and were deferred, I don't think you can add/change anything. But I may be wrong. GOOD LUCK!
hey, i am also on deferred status at miami. Have you sent in anything else additional or do you have any suggestions.
I do not know a lot about the program, but the price is tremendous. I guess that if you really want to go to NOVA and you have the time and money that it would be worth it, but I just don't have the time or money to put into this. Also, what happens if you do the expensive program and you don't make it? You would have then wasted all that time and money for nothing. You have to remember that it is a competative program with a curve. Therefore, you are in competition with people who have the same desires which creates a huge risk. If you feel that it would be worth while then do it, but just remember that there are other options out there for you. I wish all the luck and thanks for your comments.
Thanks for your input. I think I am going to send in a LOCI as well. Please let me know anything you learn from the admissions counselor and campus visit. Best of luck to you!
In addition to umkc, you might also look at KU and Washburn. They are both within commuting distance of the KC area.
email me if you have any questions about the KC area, I have lived here for ten years and my wife has lived her for almost her entire life. Also, I have been to Washburn a couple times if you have any questions about the school. My wife can answer questions about KU.
I would like to know feedback you got re: the AAMPLE program. I want to contact guyfawlkes777 also but he does not have an account. Good luck wiht your cycle, hope you get in FIU :-)
Hey congrats on Miami! - It gives me some hope for my reaches at Catholic and IU INDY. I agree that the low GPA can be forgiven, but in my experience it can also put you in the automatic reject pile right off of the bat. My rejects came FAST - and from FCSL and St. Thomas, where I supposedly had a 90% + chance of getting in. So I don't know about anything at this point. But good luck to you and especially good luck with the Miami waitlist -
I'm still waiting to hear from a couple of schools but I've paid the seat deposit at Washburn and will probably attend the student day. I work in a legal aid office and one of the attorneys there went to Washburn and really enjoyed it. She said the cost of living was reasonable and the school was challenging. I heard the school as a great reputation in the Midwest. I really haven't heard anything bad about the school to be honest. I'll be excited to go anywhere really! Good luck to you and maybe we'll be classmates come August.
I'd be happy to update you on Washburn after I visit next month. They have been kinder than any other school and the cost of living is really low. Plus you can get in state by second semester and they're ranked among top 30 for writing and research and I think top 50 for litigation. Good luck and let me know if you decide to go there (better to start networking sooner than later)
Congrats on Miami!
Thanks a lot. Congratulations to you too. Feels great to get off that waitlist. I actually grew up in Fort Lauderdale and work in the Miami area right now. I grew up a canes fan so I'm really excited to be going there. Hope to see you next fall. Where else are you considering?
Greg, I will withdraw from FIU as soon as all my loans get approved. :) Being accepted to Miami is one thing, paying for it is another; and FIU is a very inexpensive alternitive...sorry, but until all the numbers are in the game is still on..
Thanks for the post! I'm not sure why my board ended up being ground zero for the FIU/Miami debate but it seems to be a popular attraction. heh. Definitely excited for the U and I'll see you at orientation!
Best of luck to you too !! We cant do anything more then sit back and wait at this point !!
