Congrats on JM
Thanks for the well wishes and congrats on the new score. That is fantastic. Good luck with part 2 of your cycle
That is really fantastic about the full scholarship and stipend, congrats again. My two cents: Full scholarship is hard to pass up, even harder with living expenses. Part of your decision should probably include where you plan to practice. John Marshall isnt looked upon very favorably in most circles but they really do have a decent alumni network in chicago and some of you decision has to be about what kind of law you plan to practice. If it where me I would accept at JM. You can also consider spending a year at JM (for free) kick ass there and maybe transfer to a school with a better national reputation or you might really love it. As a Chicago area resident I can tell you it is a nice place to be. Good luck with your decision.
I am a bit confused, you've withdrawn for the spring and you applied for fall again? But congrats either way, Full Tuitions these days are for the taking!
Did you get a phone, email, or website notification before you get the mail? Congrats, but no scholarship for you there?!
Yeah the waiting game is killing me. I really wanted to know before Thanksgiving. No such luck though. So is Baylor still reconsidering your app?
First off congrats on your cycle so far...I just wanted to ask if you would mind telling me your first LSAT score that John Marshall initially gave you the 18k spread over three years. I'm applying there and wondering if I can expect any money. Also, why are you not applying to Loyola, DePaul, and IIT Kent in Chicago? Your numbers are great for those schools, might even get some money, though not alot. And I'm from Chicago and Giordanos is the shiz. Although Pizzeria Unos and Duos are wayyy better for deep dish.
That is strange but It's a great school so 50% is pretty great. I saw the above poster, if you are interested in a different Chicago school, DePaul would prob give you at least 60k over 3 years which is not bad but it seems like you are not particularly sold on any area so best of luck wherever you decide to go. I am sure it will turn out well.
Thanks for the support. I was accepted but they said the full time day program was full so I am accepted to the part time evening...not too happy. I am on a waitlist for full time day. You are correct adcomms are strange...
Yeah the difference between full time and part time at JM is one class so I cannot be too upset, plus they already guaranteed a full time spot for Fall so, all in all it could have been worse. Saw the news on Texas Tech, that is fantastic. What I have heard is that it is a great school. Good luck making a decision, you have some wonderful prospects. I know you havent heard from your top two but good luck turning down another full scholarship.
Congrats on your acceptances so far. :) Chad and I were thinking of withdrawing at UT and moving to St. Louis, but now I think I may as well go to law school if I can do it for free (especially at a top 20 institution). Nice keeping up with your law school plans!! Do you want to be at UT?
That's the idea. I'm not sure that I'll ever work, really, but a JD isn't bad to fall back on, I suppose. :) Good luck on UT!! Where's #2? Baylor like your parents?
How's the decision making going?
Hey did you see a box that says 'fees' before you applied to Tech and did it show up AFTER you were accepted? Mine says decision rendered and now I see a box on their online checker that says fees, wanted to know if I was reading too much into it.
Thanks! :) Good luck on UT.
Oops! I was logged in as Chad when I left that comment. Good luck! :)
by phone! very exciting!
Good luck on getting into UCI. I think it's a great opportunity! I hope it works out for you. Cheers! Kent
did your status checker also change?
What was the decision at South Texas?
