Although I see you were deferred at FL so how did they tell you haha We've applied to alot of the same schools, keep me updated on what you hear and I will do the same. Will you be going to the admitted student weekend at Florida Coastal whenever they have it?, the new building looks nice I wanna check it out

I have no idea. I felt comfortable with my chances at this school because I fall in the middle of their score range. I don't have any outstanding warrants or police records...so they just didn't like my numbers apparently. Hopefully you'll have better luck than me and good luck with the rest of your apps. I hope it doesn't end up my only choice, but I am happy with the $ and the campus. I have a close friend currently enrolled there and he loves it.

Wow. Levin College of Law thinks you're good enough to keep around...but stetson doest?? Thats a joke. There is something terribly wrong with their AdComm. and if they are any representation of the school, they are doing us a favor. Between the two of us, UF, FSU and Miami think our credentials are good enough not to reject us while third tier stetson seems to think all the people with 3.8's and 160+ are gonna choose them over schools like UF and FSU so apparently there's no reason to even extend us a waitlist. Im already over it, Ive got deferrals at FSU and Miami and still waiting to hear from UF. With any luck things will work out with one of them. If worse comes to worse Ill go to FCSL with a $36K discount, lol. You have a great resume. Good luck with the rest of your apps!!

I've heard nothing but good things too. The son of one of my dad's friends just graduated from Coastal and he landed a great job making good money for a recent grad. Also a girl in one of my classes was telling me her brother loved it and the professors really support you. Apparently one of them used his connections to get her brother a great job with a firm that specializes in patent law or something like that. Its new and doesn't have the prestige of UF, FSU or a school like that, but its up and coming. I'm hoping to go for a tour and check out the campus sometime soon.

I was telling someone else, I truly believe that Stetson is trying to position itself to move up in the US News rankings by only accepting folks who are well above their historical LSAT/UGPA range. Don't sweat it. Have you considered Barry? Unless you're committed to FCSL at this point, it might not hurt to shoot an app over to Barry. It's not too late to get scholarship $$$ (I know this because I applied there late last year and still got a sizeable award). Good luck!

i am not sure.. but i looked at last years LSN and it seems as though, those deferred did not move... arrghhh! i would LOVEEE to go there... and also, they do not take the feb lsat.. so that is kinda shitty!!! stetson has been LSAT whores it seems... like seriousy, wtf???

from what I can tell from looking at the numbers from Ole Miss from last year, most of their decisions went out in March and April, maybe you will hear sooner if you applied earlier than I did. All I know is that the waiting game just plain sucks!

I will tell you the truth that I have no idea when deferrals will change into decision. The worst is that I guess even admission committee doesn't know.

I cant believe we both got rejected from stetson with our numbers since we fall right with their median LSAT and GPA. About UF, I really have no idea. They havent even given me a response yet so I assume I will be getting a defferal soon enough haha. But your right about FSU. Its a shame they are turning their back on so many loyal undergrads but i say if they are going to act like that, I wouldnt want to go there anywayz. By the way, you should seriously consider FIU. Newly accredited, beautiful new law building and amazing faculty. Good luck and let me know how things work out for you.

bahhh! i got waitlisted... eeek!!! i am sooo scared now to get my new LSAT score.. i also have a strong feeling unless it goes up by a few points, not many ppl will be getting off teh waitlist.. alot of ppl seem like they want to go there this yr.. and well.. esp with stetson's new 'prior' actions.. haha! it seems as though those planning on going there will end up at jax instead...

hey, add me to MSN or AIM! put it this way.. after my 2nd lsat i cried for 2hrs!! i just KNEW i bombed it (bc i effed up a game, my strongest section) but i didnt do as bad as i thought.. i ended up getting 17 on the games so it wasnt as bad as i thought, but this time my game section went amazing! i think i got perfect, or at least close to it.. so yaa.. after the test i felt like it defintely was the best out of all 3.. but of course now doubt is sinking in! my practices were all over 152, with avg 154 so we will see eh, but i mean i know i get 152 i will be into FloCo (and prob end up going there!) since u live in the area, if u want to add me that be cool bc i would loveee info about the area and school.. i can tell that their going up for sure! esp with their entrance standards continuously climbing (and also, their attirtion rate is going down) and a sports law program to boot!!!

thats funny, but I agree, even though my gpa sucks (i had one bad semester and spent two years paying for it and i'm still paying for it with law school acceptances/ rejections).

hey, thanks! i was excited.. but, then i spoke to the dude in charge of the school! i dunno.. the phone call was not promising! haha.. i think i may do a masters instead.. but, i am going to see if i can get a deferral from FCSL.. so i will let u kno.. i really hate this entire LS process.. lol
