Well, I called them a couple weeks ago just to check on the status. They told me a decision would probably come around thanksgiving. I'm a little low there and was waitlisted last year. So, I'm hoping things will go differently. I know I would love it there. I really like that they encourage you to check on the status of your application via telephone. With other schools I always wonder if I'm breaking some cardinal rule or something by checking because most of the time they seem put off. Anyways, congratulations on Marquette. That is so great! Hopefully I'll have something to celebrate soon too!

Nope, seemed like last year they sent out scholarship information after Xmas. The letter said there'd be more information to follow, but alas, I've gotten none :( I'm excited to take a visit there. I have a few friends who currently go there (law school and undergrad), but I've never had the chance to tour any of it. Let's hope they don't make us wait too long.

I am still awaiting a follow-up letter fomr Marquette! I also called Depaul and was told that they don't send out complete letters, but my file is being reviewed as we speak!

thanks! feels good to get that first one out of the way! i'm not sure about UW and their acceptances...i haven't heard of anyone getting anything from them yet. i don't think we'll hear anything until mid to late december...bummer, but good things come to those who wait! lets keep those acceptances comin!

I got a phone call from the Dean. Just an FYI, my graduate degree is from Loyola so that may have helped.

Nope. I called earlier in the week and I just said so, "I can expect a decision in the normal two to three weeks?" The guy hesitated and said, "Yeah, that's right." So, I know I've been under review there for three or four weeks already. I'm hoping that I will get somethign today or tomorrow. I feel ill with anticipation. I completely understand your anxiety. I'm sick, especially since they already told me at the beginning of November that I would probably get something around thanksgiving. Blah.

Yeah, I was a little concerned about life there as well, but I've been looking around and it seems ok, even though I would much rather be in a large city. Unless I get into UCLA I'll have to suck it up and go to UI. I hope you get a $$ offer soon from UIUC. Good luck with the rest of your apps.

UW came in a small envelope. I live right off campus, so it might have gotten to me before the same letter may get to others... UIUC excites me. A good friend is considering UIUC for his EE PhD program, so that would be a huge plus. I like the idea of the campus not really being as dense as Madison, too. I'm excited to visit and see what it's like. Definitely ranking up there with MN for me right now

They sent me a letter through the mail--I think it was about a month ago but I'm not sure because I threw away the stuff since I'm not going there...Have you decided what school you will attend yet?

so we are pretty similar on numbers and applied really really early to WI...and still nothing. I wonder what the deal is?

Hey, I heard they got a really late start at UW due to a staff issue, so it might take a little longer than usual. I called and they said mine decision should be mailed by tomorrow. Good luck to you all!

Yeah, I hope WI sends out some decisions to the rest of us soon as it is my top choice right now with William Mitchell and Depaul right behind. If you look at last year's decisions they are way behind schedule...wonder why. Anyway, I'm sure you will get off the WL at DePaul soon...your numbers are solid. best of luck.

i think Loyola will regret not taking such a qualified candidate like yourself...but you've got a great school in U of I that wants you, ya gotta feel good about that!

Congrats to you too. I don't know our numbers are very close for Depaul (stupid LSAT), I'd say we have a good shot to get off the waitlist, but I don't know how long that takes.
