Hey, we pasty folk have to find a way to stick together--without, y'know, venturing into the white power zone (which sounds like something out of a comic). I'm pretty set on Texas. Chicago might make me reconsider, but I don't really care too much for Columbia (I applied 'cause they sent a fee waiver and I wanted a reach school), I honestly think Texas is a better school than UVA on up, UT has one of the better clerkship programs around and a great student experience, and UT and Austin are both amazing places to be, and I could go on... :) What about you? Looking keenly at Berkeley?
Yeah Berkeley is interesting, I haven't heard a thing- I didn't even get an e-mail that I was sent to committee. I definitely also wasn't rejected. I am a weird candidate in general, I hope the fact that there is real distance between my lower and high GPA will help. Best of luck on your Berkeley vigil!
Aye; I've enjoyed watching the acceptances roll in on my end--it's nice to be in demand, eh?--but I'll almost definitely be heading to Austin in the fall. Ah, my beloved Texas...

when i went to duke and told the others on my tour and the tour guide i went to school in the bay area everyone in the room was like "yeah, I hear berkeley is so cool" i corrected all of them and let them know i didnt go to cal then someone said, "oh wow, stanford is a gorgeous campus you must really love it!"...wrong again.

That I did... UIUC, Emory, and Davis (by a thread). Leaning towards Illinois because of the money and because it seems pretty awesome. So, Duke for you? Or am I going to convince you to take the money and run and join me at Illinois.
