Hey- I found out about UF a week before Christmas. It's my first choice and I'm very nervous. lol My LSAT was a 154 :(: i was testing in the low 160s on practice tests- but like any of the standardized tests I've taken my whole life- performed average on the real thing. I have a 3.6 overall GPA, and a 3.8 in both my majors. I was an honors student, which gave me one publication. i was really involved in SGA (senate, etc) and a few other organizations. I did volunteer work and had the same job at a law firm for 3 years. Other than that- I can't think of what else you'd want to know. I feel funny practically writing out my resume, haha... Well, I'd like to keep my options open as much as possible --- I've been at UF for so long that I might be willing to trade a change of scenery for a lower ranking. That said, I'm probably going to UF. :) Nice acceptances!!! Which school is your top choice??
You know what's weird? I just realized that we have close completion dates for UF/FSU, and I haven't heard from FSU and you haven't heard from UF. Odd.
FSU mailed me an invitation to apply for merit-based scholarships a couple of weeks after I received the acceptance letter in November. I faxed in that application a week after receiving it. On January 5th, I recieved a letter with the merit scholarship award. I didn't file my FAFSA until the end of January, and I haven't heard back from the law school regarding any need-based scholarships. I have, however, heard from the FSU Financial Aid Office about loans I've been approved for. I hope that helps.
I'm wondering if our numbers will be similar. Which is your college of choice?
