Additional info & updates

I took the LSAT twice...don't really know how that will play out.

Just found out Georgetown has made a decision. Depending on how that goes, I might apply to more schools.

12/21/07-- Was able to log into Georgetown admitted students website! This is exactly 1 week after I saw that they made a decision. Yay! I'm going somewhere!

1/24/08-- Invited to the accepted students chat with Emory admissions staff. I havent received a letter or any other communication from them.

1/25/08-- COLUMBIA! Top-5 here I come!

1/31/08-- Phone call from Texas Dean of Admissions telling em to expect my acceptance letter in the mail.

2/6/08-- Columbia box arrived. Also a letter from Texas with an offer of $9,500 a year plus in-state. Vague wording, I dont know whether thats $9500 subtracted from the in-state fee or out-of-state fee (which would equal what in-state students pay).

2/18/08-- Carolina WL-Dinged me in last year's cycle. Feels a little better this time around.

3/5/08- Emory offered me $$. A year ago I would have given my right arm for an offer like this.

3/8/08- "Held" at Chicago. I think I will just withdraw my app. I would rather be in NYC than Chicago, CLS is ranked higher, and it's a lot of effort.

3/11/08-- UVA and NYU have had my app for almost 4 moths now... the TLS post about NYU's foot dragging makes me feel a lot better. They are a serious consideration for me, so I'd love to know my status from their end.

3/24/08-- NYU! I was already planning to go to the CLS ASP on 4/2 so now I can add NYU to the itinerary. Who's going?

3/31/08-- Well my cycle is over, and all things considered, I'm pretty satisfied. Considering UF was the best school I got into a year ago, I'm pleased with my options. Getting a WL and a ding in the same day stings a little, but I'll get over it. Anyone have insight as to what I should do now?

I'm visiting Harvard in two weeks and I'll probably decide after that.

quick question

I was wondering what happened your first time around on the cycle and what made you take the LSAT again. I feel I should've done a lot better on the LSAT and am considering re-taking it even though I've already gotten all my decisions back from the schools I applied to. Also, what'd you do to prepare differently for the second time you took it?

Congrats!
