How do you plan on explaing your low grades? I am in a similar situation. Any advice would be very appreciated.

We have very similar numbers and I noticed we're both applying for UF and FSU. Best of luck and I hope you get a lot of acceptance letters.

Yep. 20 days. Actually the letter is dated the 15th.

The school I go to gives A+ grades. While they don't count for anything more than 4.0 at the school, LSAC counts an A+ as 4.33. So my 4.0 became a 4.05. It is weird I know.

I hope GW is a safety. Their new medians are pretty intimidating, though (167/3.75). The only good thing about those kinds of medians, however, is that they MUST have given a lot of splitter-love last year. Hopefully they do the same this year. Good luck with your cycle, see ya in class.

I was just talking to my mom and telling her that I would probably receive a scholarship offer from FCSL - they do that more than you would expect! Congrats though...you are WANTED!

That is hilarious that you received an acceptance without even applying. I did apply there as a safety but quite frankly they didn't offer me enough money for me to take them seriously. I know my numbers aren't astounding but come on! Either way, getting acceptances for schools you haven't even applied for HAS to be a good sign for how this cycle is going to go for you. :-)

I was in DC last spring, working for Sen. Kennedy, and would really like to go back for three years, if anyone in that area is kind enough to accept me! The Office is almost out of episodes, so I'm near tears too. So where's your number 1 right now?

did your email explicitly say that you were admitted with a suitcase of $ or did it only say that you "qualified" for their school. i have never heard of a school letting in anyone without some interest.

Yeah, so far I have only received that one piece of paper with a handwritten note that said they would be in touch about scholarships and an invitation to visit. Hopefully something more will come soon. Congrats on the acceptances!

Yeah, I feel the same way about the scholarship thing. They threw the scholarship info in there to keep us looking for info although it won't come. I'm not too optimistic. I read somewhere that everyone is considered for scholarships any my GPA just doesn't cut it I don't think. I plan on keeping my expectations low so I can be pleasantly surprised.

I actually went to undergrad at Sewanee, but know several people that went to Vanderbilt and they loved it. I work in the Nashville area right now. Good luck with all the decisions!

Nope, no WUSTL for me, I'm not a big fan of the midwest. And right now, the NC schools are looking pretty good to me. And congrats on Nova! And happy holidays!

I mostly agree with you. I have not been impressed with UF. They just haven't tried to sell their school at all. FSU on the other hand has been very cordial and I do like their school. That being said I still have no idea where I am going yet. I am still hoping for Harvard. 8)

Hello right back at you! First off, congrats on all your acceptances. I'm glad to hear that you think you will be at WashU next year. Yep, I went to Tulane. I see that you went to UNC. Never been to Chapel Hill, but I hear it is a great place be for 4 years in college. The college basketball fans seem to love it :)

I'm not ready for winter. I went to the ASD in February and it was iced over. Still, I'm excited about starting in the Fall. Maybe we can have an unseasonably warm November and December to welcome us to the Midwest.

Yea, getting accepted there is cool. However, the money offered to me at IIT and the sweet ass biotech program there has me won over. I have committed there and already been approved for hella finacial aid. I am going to tear a new ass hole in this law school shit. you just wait. good luck to ya.
