Additional info & updates

2/8/06: Drexel: Large White Envelope: Acceptance plus 14k/year Dean's Scholarship

3/6/06: Widener: Large White Envelope: Acceptance Letter. No dinero :(

3/15/06: Florida Coastal: Large Colorful Envelope: Acceptance Letter; Separate Envelope with Scholarship Offer: 10k if in top 30% of class or maintain 3.0
3/18/06: Attended Drexel's Admitted Students Day. Liked what I heard. Sending money shortly.

3/20: Accepted at Villanova, WTF?!?!

3/21: Withdrew from Florida Coastal, University of Baltimore, and Widener

I'm really conflicted now: Prestige (Villanova) vs. Happiness (Drexel). Seat deposits for both are due April 1st. Guess I'll be heading back up to Philly this weekend.

3/30: Small envelope; Waitlisted at Pace

3/31: Visited Villanova and was not impressed.

4/2: Withdrew from Villanova

4/4: Small envelope; waitlisted at Dickinson

I'm staying on the waitlists, just to see what happens. You know, get my money's worth

4/5: Medium sized envelope; waitlisted at American

Current Count: 5 Acceptances, 3 Waitlists, Dings

I took myself off the waitlists at Dickinson and Pace.

I'm moving to Philly and going to Drexel unless American takes me off the waitlist and doesn't ask for my first born in return or unless FSU comes through.

4/21: Dinged at Temple. No surprise there

New Count: 5 Acceptances, 3 Waitlists, 1 Ding

5/31: Rejection from FSU; invited to transfer after a year of good grades at another school

6:3:1

Nova

I talked to a lot of alumni, they really loved being there. With what I've heard about their alumni base, it's going to be extremely easy to get a job coming out. PA bar passage rate for Nova grads is quite high as well, which is great. And the campus is really beautiful, though the law building looks a little rinky-dink, but because they're putting more resources into the new law building that's being built.

You found me!

I didn't pass up Villanova purely because of money. I went and visited this past weekend. I felt very uncomfortable there and did not feel like I would fit in.

What's your point in your last post? If you're going there or are already attending, and she's only got a 149 and SHE got in there, what does that say about you? If she's SO bad in your mind, then you must be JUST as bad, since you've both been accepted to the same school.....Hmmm.....care to respond to that?

Why do you care that I disliked Villanova? Instead of implying I'm somehow inferior to the rest of the applicant pool based on my LSAT score, why not ask, what do you think made you stand apart since your numbers are below the median, or why did you dislike Nova so much? There ARE more important things to consider than just the rankings and LSAT scores. Not to mention, why don't you focus on your own pursuits, rather than just going around ragging on other people's decisions?

your insane

your soooooooooo insane. how can you turn down nova? i mean come on, its a chance to live on the main line for 3 years. think of all the awesome spoiled kids you'll get to meet. it will be the experience of a lifetime, and after you graduate you can get a job at bobby's dad's law firm. you'll be so set and you can spend the rest of your life living on the main line. you'll even be able to join the country club and shop at banana republic. like i said........your crazy.
