Additional info & updates

Extremely late applications. Whoops. Been pretty lucky so far with the acceptances.

I have a unique situation. I am married, and my husband will be attending law school this fall as well. We, of course, want to attend the same school or at the very least, two schools in very close proximity.

Therefore, we are keenly interested in being accepted to the same places. So far, we are both in at Vandy, Cornell, GW and OU. Our original top pick (that seemed like it would be at all a possibility) was Georgetown because we like the idea of D.C. However, we have been very impressed with other schools since the application process began, particularly the schools that seem to care that we are a married couple. (e.g., schools that send our acceptances and scholarship notifications on the same day).

We are very thankful that he has very good numbers (much better than mine), so the odds of our being accepted to the same schools resemble the odds of my getting into a particular school, if that makes sense.

congratulations on vandy... and quite a big scholarship! how did they contact you? good luck with georgetown! if you haven't heard from them yet it most likely means that they've got you in the "maybe" pile at least.

I am very intrested to see how this plays out. Any thought put into splitting time at GW and Georgetown? Both in D.C.!

There is a priority and a regular waitlist at Georgetown. Lots of folks apparently get in off the former, but not so much off the latter.

You say you applied late. Did you apply after the merit scholarship deadline at Vanderbilt and still get an award? I sure would appreciate knowing.
