More JUICY info to come after the cycle has ended.

I enlisted the help of Ann Levine, law school admissions counselor (www.lawschoolexpert.com) because I had two major issues to deal with: a GPA addendum (I had been on academic probation two separate semesters) and another non-GPA related addendum. She definitely helped me with those, and also provided valuable feedback on my personal statement.

Additional info & updates

"Sent" = the day I transmitted the app via LSAC

"Received" = the day schools requested my LSDAS report

"Decision" = OLD: I can't even fathom this day yet.
NEW: It's actually happening!!

$$$ = per year (all renewable)

2/23/07 - Aww, I will always have a special place in my heart for Univeristy of La Verne: my virgin acceptance! The Law Grant was a nice bonus though: $25k first year, then renewable in full if I stay in the top 30% (and renewable to varying degrees if I rank lower).

03/05/07 - Wow, thank you Chapman!! You have no idea I have been lusting after your ENLURE certificate, and I never expected a renewable $$ from you!! I'll try to be there March 22-24.

HOW THEY ARRIVED....

2/23/07 - La Verne acceptance - small envelope, scholarship info in acceptance letter

2/27/07 - Cal Western acceptance -small envelope

3/5/07 - TJ acceptance - small envelope with "Yes!" stamped on back

3/5/7 - Chapman acceptance in big package; scholarship info was in acceptance letter in the package.

3/7/07 - TJ's scholarship info came separately in small envelope.

3/9/07 - Whittier's acceptance came in a small cream envelope incl Dean's Scholar info - full tuition for 1st year!

3/15/07 - phone call from Western State - accepted with $. Phone call was kind of awkward because I obviously didn't express my overwhelming excitement (partly because I was at work). The Admissions rep asked where else I had gotten accepted AND where I had gotten money - NOSY!!
Come on reach schools - pretty pretty please....

3/20/07 - Western State increased my scholarship offer by $4k/yr

4/16/07 - Hmmm, I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. Waitlisted at USD. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAASE Loyola PT come through for me!!

4/24/07 - Waitlisted at SW per online status check. I'm more devastated than I expected :(

Declined to remain on USD waitlist - good luck to those of you on it. I checked the box indicating "will consider PT in lieue of FT".

5/7/07 - still no word on my reaches praying for a miracle. I would give my arms and legs to go to Loyola.

5/12/07 - !!!!!OMG!!!! In at Loyola's evening program, which was my 1st choice!! Came today in big Loyola envelope. Obviously they looked beyond numbers - thank you LLS!!! I am DONE!!

5/14/07 - Personally delivered my two seat deposits to Loyola today. I'm in love!

6/11/07 - Wow, FINALLY I hear from Pepperdine. I expected a rejection (b/c I really half-assed their "response to our Christian mission statement", I never updated my info or showed any interest, and I really am NOT a good fit for that school), so I'm pleasantly surprised with the waitlist. Obviously I withdrew my name from consideration, but it's nice to have the cycle completely over with and know that I didn't get rejected from anywhere. With my Loyola acceptance, I am extremely pleased with how this cycle went!

Three LSATs

I assume you're planning to apply for Fall 2007 admission... Are you aware of the "new" ABA guidelines regarding reporting the highest score? You don't have to worry about the average (so much) anymore. If you decide to delay application due to the September score, your old LSAT will probably "disappear" before the next cycle since you're nearing the five year mark on it.

Thanks for the comment -- here's my opinion on the 3 LSAT situation. If you know you didn't do as well as you wanted this time around cancel. If you only think so, don't cancel. You might surprise yourself and it would be good to get your aps in sooner rather than after December. On the three scores -- I'm writing an addendum to address illness in the family that had to do with my poor lsat performance. If you have a reason even if it was just nerves I would write an addendum.

Did you apply for any kind of financial aid or did Chapman just notify you of their scholarship?

did you apply FT or FT/PT?

Huge congratulations

Congratulations, I have similar numbers to you so your late acceptance gives me hope. I am anxiously waiting for Loyola PT as well but the admissions board or the LSDAS seriously delayed my application, so I am not sure if that will be the nail in the coffin or if I still have a chance. My wife says I am obsessing but she just does not understand. I was wondering if you submitted any supporting documentation other than the required such as resume or addendum statements.
