===
1/1/08 - I found out that my graduate credits can be sent to LSAC even though their site is misleading and I was given bad guidance on this matter. I had the transcripts sent today. I have to discuss this with the 5 schools I have already applied.

1/3/08 - Submitted a good amount of apps today. I did Ohio northern because they emailed me and it was free.
- I called Syracuse admissions 2 times today and asked a bunch of questions. They were very nice and all.

1/4/08 - Slow work day... did the NYLS app at work and started Layola Chicago there too. Loyola Chicago was free to apply... that was a nice surprise.

1/6/08 - Three more apps sent today. Only 2 more and then its as they say 'time to play the waiting game'.

1/9/08 - The final two applications sent today. Now its time to do my Taxes and my FAFSA... oh joy! Then sit back and play the waiting game.

1/10/08 - Well... I got 2 emails from schools, saying I could apply for free. Since I didn't have to do much other than a quick LSAC update... I did it. When they email you and say that your a strong possibility of acceptance, that is good right?! (I mean, other schools think it too?)

1/15/08 - My full report and all my LORs were uploaded to the LSDAS system today. The completed reports were sent out this afternoon. Hopefully I will hear back from schools soon.

1/18/08 - Rutgers/Syracuse/Loyola Chicago - application recieved and processed. FPLC - Application up for review

1/22/08 - Syracuse application complete. Accepted by Ave Maria via email at 2:31pm. Well at least I know I am attending school this fall.

1/28/08 - Pace application complete. Accepted by Valparaiso via Big Envelope in the Snail Mail.

2/04/08 - Wait listed by Loyola New Orleans... This is an ego shot, since they accepted 66% of their last year applications (with numbers like mine).

2/08/08 - Rejected by Loyola Chicago and DePaul. Small envelopes in the mail. Those are the kind I dont like getting.

2/19/08 - Deffered by NYLS. Small envelope in the mail.

3/01/08 - Rejected by Pitt today, no real supprise there. Waitlisted by U@B, replied and said I am still interested. This is a good sign, all in all. Kinda hoping Stetson does not reject me... Tampa is looking better and better.

3/03/08 - I got rejected by Syracuse, Penn State and Rutgers today by small envelopes. I got accepted by Franklin Pierce Law Center, via Email and believe I will probably be going there b/c it is 4th in the nation for IP law. I was also waitlisted by Hofstra today... phooey.

3/04/08 - I spoke with UB admissions today and asked tons of questions regarding being waitlisted. I expressed my want for acceptance into their program and was given a good game plan... My UB fate really depends on how many people out there accept attendance.

3/08/08 - Pace sent me a letter stating I am on their waitlist. I think I am the king of being waitlisted! I rejected their offer and am 99.9% sure I am going to Franklin Pierce in the fall. The school is too good to pass up, wanting to study IP law.

3/13/08 - Was accepted into Dayton Law today via email. Too bad I already accepted FPLC...

3/19/08 - Stetson rejected me today via small tan envelope. Oh well... no tropics for me, prob for the best.

3/24/08 - Accepted by Albany Law today via large white envelope.

4/6/08 - John Marshall rection letter sent small envelop

4/7/08 - Quinnipiac University rejection letter sent small envelop (somewhat rude wording in the letter)

4/10/08 - Duquesne wait listed via small white envelope which looked like a rejection letter... The pricks didn't give me a return envelope either, so I am not going to do anything about it and they can piece it together.

Right now I believe I am the King of wait listings!!!! 6 and counting!

4/18/08 - New England School of law waitlisted me into their day program but accepted me into there part-time night program... EFF THEM!

4/22/08 - Ohio Northern Wait listed me!!! That makes seven and I believe I am definitely the wait-listed king!!!

4/30/08 - Roger Williams accepted big envelope in mail

5/4/08 - Golden Gate wait listed via small white envelop in mail.

5/25/08 - I was waitlisted again! Cleveland.

I keep in touch via email with all my schools admissions offices. I doubt it helps, but knowing them somewhat personally shows how much you will work to get into a school.

--------------------------------------
Calculated chances at my top choice schools:
Univ of Pitt: 2.6%
Rutgers: 3.2%
Univ at Buff: 8.2%
Hofstra: 9.7%
Pace: 16.5%
Syracuse: 19.2%
Albany (Union): 37.6%
Franklin Pierce: 42.2%

--------------
After consideration I have decided I am going to be attending Franklin Pierce. Recently I have been looking for apartments in the area and signing my loans off.

FAFSA

Hey, Thanks for your message. I spoke with a FAFSA representative today who said that after your initial report is processed you should delete the ones you have and add the new ones after it has been processed, and if you have more you can do the same after each correction is processed. Good luck throughout the admissions process!

GOOD LUCK!

Best of luck Air Force! I'm an Army officer and definitely can't wait to be a civilian again! If you have any specific questions that you think I may be able to answer fire away!

Good luck this cycle. Don't get intimidated by the calculators! Also, don't count Pitt out just yet... Last year they admitted 7 people with your numbers.

...nope not an LT, a CPT. I think you have a good shot at a lot of your schools and I most certainly wish you the best! Yep, I'm stationed at FT Bragg (except right now I am in Afghanistan). CIVILIAN IN ABOUT 6 MONTHS! CAN'T WAIT! Keep in touch and feel free to email!

Thanks!

Yeah I'm just waiting on Rutgers now and then I'll probably figure out where I'm going. Best of luck to you on your remaining schools!

wait list......
Friday, February 29 2008 at 07:00 PM

ive noticed we got waitlisted at some of the same schools..... how do we go about changing that?

Hey Bud
Friday, February 29 2008 at 07:00 PM

Hey thanks for your insight. Im actually from NYC-- therefore I applied to almost any considered school in the area. Growing up in NYC--my intentions are to attend school somewhere in the area or upstate---but obviously thats not entirely up to me at the moment. As for advice about schools I applied to--- I tried to really apply to schools I thought I would get into. But of course with my LSAT score-- its become a liability for so many of these schools. I really did figure I had a decent shot of getting into schools like Hofstra, Pace, Nylaw etc...--but i have been dead wrong. I am trying to submit some letters to schools-- Overall I would hope I will be accepted in at least 1 of my waiting lists--- but like you said-- this is about the time when students begin to decline or accept their offers-- so who knows when my window of opportunity will arrive. Im not really willing to go too far away-- as I work and have obligations in NY state---but I am trying to keep an open mind. I hope we both experience some luck on the waitling lists-

hope your right

I really hope your right-- as everyone keeps telling me the same message-- at least one school has to accept you (being my odds are higher than others)- -but you really never know-- I could be on the bottom of their lists-- but i will try to maintain my desire to attend and i will be sending some things out hopefully when spring break arrives- I'll keep you posted- where you planning to attend by the way?

Congrats on your acceptances! For NESL, how did they notify you of your aceptance off of the wait list? Was it a phone call, letter or package? Thanks!
