Extra Curricular Information

some numbers may or may not be skewed in order to protect identity...either way, my index number still adds up to be the same or almost the same

I took the LSAT twice, otherwise, extrodinary soft factors which i think are not having an affect on my applications at all...

Additional info & updates

03-15-06 USC rejection -snail mail...fast turn around, Damn you 'SC, atleast make it seem like you actually reviewed my file !

03-23-06 Accepted at Cal Western

03-24-06 Accepted at Whittier with full tuition if i manage to stay within top 30% of class---Free law school sounds very attractive at the moment...i have 10 schools left, i hope i get into atleast 1 of the rest...any thoughts on going to whittier for free?

04-07-06 Received letter with the following intro:

Dear Mr. X
On behalf of the admissions committee, I would like to thank you once again for applying for admission to the JD program of the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I write to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to the fall 2006 entering class....WTF when i first read "On behalf of the admissions committee" i thought "this has got to be good" but fuck was i wrong, way to write a rejection letter...JERKS! I really had no interest in that school anyway, as you'll notice, i never really ranked them

04/07/06 Waitlisted at Chapman --great another headache

04/10/06 Rejected by Santa Clara--i thought they take the higher lsat score? Oh well, what can i do ...Loyola ding is on its way tomorrow...great week so far, lol

04/12/06 Waitlisted at Loyola---i am actually happy about this waitlist. I know for a fact that they saw something more than just my numbers--perhaps that directed letter of rec from a loyola alum?--who knows

04/17/06 Waitlisted at Southwestern---jeez now i am waitlisted at 3 schools i'd love to attend---im hoping atleast one of them takes me =/

04/19/06 Thin white envelope from USD--i suppose my higher lsat score didnt help much--oh well--i have my eyes on L.A.

04/28/06 Thick white envelope from USF--Waitlisted, which is just what i really needed, another headache and another LOCI to write

05/01/06 Rejected at Pacific today--i really thought i had a chance there--they can go f--- themselves--who wants to live in cow town anyway?

05/09/06 Rejected at Hastings--Finally for the love of God--they sure took forever--oh well what can i do? Oh and i applied LEOP as well....wrote an extra 3 page statement and answered their questions in 4 pages (both these documents dont include my personal statement which was attached to it as well--so i put in a lot of work for nothing)

So long Tier 1--So long public school (Yeah-i've never been enrolled in a private school)

05/24/06 Finally received my Ding from Pepperdine--i can care less really, i knew it was coming...but i gotta say it was the best written rejection letter

07/03/06 Big White Evelope from Chapman Law--wohoo now i am staying in L.A. for good!!! I will be withdrawing from other schools to help other waitlists there GOOD LUCK!!

07/13/06 Received email from USF: Thank you for your continued interest in USF School of Law.

At this time there has been no change in your application status.

As you may be aware, the decision to utilize the waitlist was based on
the number of second deposits we received from our current group of
admitted applicants as well as any notices of withdrawals. Our second
deposit response came in quite high. We had very few seats available to
offer. Admission offers have already been extended to those few
individuals selected by the Committee and they have accepted our offer.

Sounds like a rejection to me dispite the ambiguity

08/04/06 Received call from Southwestern Admissions office asking me of my continued interest. Told her I would attend and was admitted. Later that day, picked up loads of envelopes. Im attending Southwestern's day time division. =)

08/11/06 Called Loyola and was told a letter is in the mail. This is in no way an acceptance. Therefore I am seeing it as that.

08/11/06 100% Going to Southwestern day time division. Good luck to all those prospective students in the upcoming year.

yea, I was pretty shocked to see a rejection letter from them esp. so early in their decision process. Oh well, I guess I dont have to think about moving cross-country unless USD admits me. Kinda makes my decision easier. Bests with your apps.

Bastards rejected me too!!! They made me wait a long ass time for their damn rejection letter, 2 1/2 months!!! Please!!! I know they barely opened my file the day before yesterday saw my LSAT and closed it back uo and typed up the ""I can assure you our decision was made only after careful and difficult deliberation" BS!!!!!!!! Anyways, good luck on your pendings and down with the Trojans!!!! :) :)

USF Waitlist
Wednesday, November 02 2005 at 07:00 PM

No, nothing about the special app was mentioned. The waitlist info and procedures seemed to be school-wide rather than program based. Which, now that you point it out, seems quite odd. You would think you would be compteing in the same pool of applicants you applied with. I guess that could cut both ways though. gluck, h

sorry about hastings

I am awaiting the same fate, I am sure. Also, I got an e-mail from Alan Guerrero (USF) yesterday informing me that I did not make the cut from the first round of admission extensions to the waitlist. If you're ever in SF, I'll buy you a drinlk and we can curse the LSAT. holly
