-4/27: interestingly, though I withdrew my application from Northwestern, I received an email waitlisting me....crazy!

-4/17: I have officially withdrawn my applications from everywhere but Harvard, and have put down my deposit for NYU!!! So excited!

-4/16: Waitlisted at Harvard!! Got the email while visiting NYU.

-4/6: Got my UChicago letter in the mail; shocked to see that I was waitlisted instead of flat out rejected. Miracle of miracles!

-4/3: UChicago Status Checker: "Decision Mailed-Please wait 10 days"...Bummer.

-3/25: Placed on hold at NU. Kind of disappointed that I've waited this long (since 12/4) to hear something, and now there's more waiting in my future. Uggggghhhhhh

-2/19: Email from Duke saying I'm waitlisted. Decided to withdraw since I know I won't be going there.

-2/17: Duke decision made via Status Checker

-1/23: Box full of information and acceptance from Vanderbilt! This has been an amazing cycle!

-1/21: Acceptance email from Wash U, Packet from U of Illinois saying I received a $25,000 a year scholarship. With In-State tuition, that's $3,000 a year for tuition. Looking pretty good right about now...

-1/20: Email from UVA asking me to call them, then accepted by phone call. I would be one happy camper if I had SOME word from Northwestern. Harvard is a looooong shot, so I'm not even holding my breath.

-1/15: Accepted to DePaul and University of Illinois via email.

-1/4: Ecstatic about my acceptances to NYU and Georgetown, but I'm still waiting on Northwestern. Come on NU, send out your decisions!

- 12/29: Accepted to Georgetown and NYU!

- Georgetown offered an interview 12/5, had the interview 12/16, status changed to Decision 12/19...Hoping for good news in the mail sometime soon!

Barring an unexpected acceptance, NYU or Columbia are neck and neck in my mind. Best of luck with NU, but no matter what it looks like you'll have some excellent choices!
