Hey I'm on the same boat as you. I did Princeton Review and Powerscore and none helped. Good Luck!
- triz35We have very similar stats; I hope everything goes well for you! :)
- pbe011I haven't heard anything yet, just "completion" emails, which of course make me nervous lol.
- pbe011We have similar stats and are applying to some of the same schools! Good luck with everything--and stay positive! We're getting in SOMEWHERE! For me--hopefully it's UMD ;)
- TiffTak008I wish the best of luck! Im sure you'll get in somewhere! Just keep your head up. Waiting the hardest part......
- dominrricanI knew last yeah when I was thinking about applying to law school that I was going to apply to alot of school. So i just saved up for about 8 months..... I got a few fee waivers but not many. Someone with numbers I knew i should to alot of places just to cover myself cause you never know where u can get in unless you apply. I think the only crazy person i know who would spend this much on apps.
- dominrricanYou will get somewhere, just be patient. Good luck, and Hapy Holiday
- haitianI have more than 15 schools that I am waiting from. Unless the other schools offer $$$..., I will attend IndyLaw. I will update as the cycle progress.
- haitianYeah man, i just got back. I was on vacation for a week and half. Just went through all of my mail and updated my profile. I got a few rejections and 1 acceptance from Valparaiso University.
- dominrricanJust got my rejection letter in the mail today :( This sucks!
- Tifftak008Hey Man...Congrats on NCCU.... Hope I hear good news from them soon also.
- gamecock08Thanks for the congrats. It's not my entire list, I have a about 19 more schools to hear from. Congrats on NCCU!
- pbe011When did you send your application to NCCU?
- esquire2011Congratulations on your NCCU acceptance....I am a bit biased but you chose to apply to a great school. Good luck with the rest of your cycle! :)
- chydiva82how did penn state notify you?
- iwillso, penn state only took three days to review your file. that is pretty quick turnaround...did they ever sent you an application completion email? they told me that mine might take a good length of time.
- iwilldid you apply straight out of undergrad?
- iwillWhat kind of envelope did the NC Central Acceptance letter come in?
- esperanza123Dude im not even sure myself..... I would say waitlisted is better than deferred cause at least it says you have a shot into the school provided that other people decline their admissions offers. Deferr i think means that they havn't means that they havn't made a decision yet and will review your file "later". I'd say waitlist is better b/c its a decision none the less...... but who know! I've been placed on "hold" at some places, whatever that means. Thanks for your well wishes. Im hoping you get into a great school too!!!!!
- dominrricanI also applied to Carolina and am thinking about Elon as a last minute choice. I am really hating this process. I think it will be a while before I hear anything because I applied the 1st week of December
- eperanza123congrats on Penn State. Your news of being waitlisted has given me a lot of hope.
- CrimLawHispanicCongrats on the NCCU acceptance! I'm sure you will hear more=) I might end up at NCCU in the Fall.
- carlykany news from the psu ?
- iwillWell I wouldn't go to Nova because they accepted me through their conditional program..and I'm choosing not to go to TSU because of location and facilities. NCCU out of those 2 seems the best, well for now atleast. Hopefully I'll get more acceptances.
- carlykThank you for the congrats!
- pbe011Hey again... I was looking at your screenname and something came to mind.... Are you nigerian by chance?
- chydiva82Hey! Yep....i'm Igbo as well:) I see that you have been accepted to NCCU Are you thinking about attending??
- chydiva82let me know if you have any questions...:)
- chydiva82Unforunately we were both denied. What we got was an invitation to partipcate in a condition summer program, where based on our performance in the program we MIGHT (no guantees at all) get a place in the PT evening division. I think you should only do these condtional programs if you have not gotten any offer from any other schools. I am not going to participate in their conditions program (or any other conditional program for that matter) cause I have a few acceptances to choose from. Im leaning towards Cleveland Marshall. Im checking it out this weekend for their open house. .... best of luck!+
- dominrricanHave you heard anything from Cleveland? Looks like you've been waiting about as long as I have. I application was done first week of December.
- wingandprayerAre you going to apply for the LEO program? To be honest, it is a honor to be accepted to that conditional program. They do not just take anybody. To my understanding, they are very selective. Are you going to do it? It is a great school.
- CrimLawHispanicThe TAP program at Widener scares me. Only thirty three percent of applicants receive a 2.3 or better in this SSP. I think that MSU is a better school anyway and to my understanding, it is a less competitive summer conditional program. I hope that this helps.
- CrimLawHispanicI felt liek the city itself was under construction (like all over the place). All the commerical buidlings are abandoned. Like there are really no stores open (or occupied anywhere)..... its weird. There wern't any ppl on the street to run into and talk to or anything, guess its cause it was a weekend, nt sure). I wanted to go bowling wth by girlfriend at the open place we found that had any life in it and they said that you have to reserve a lane or a pool table at least 3 days in advance!!! So needless to say in not too excited about that place..... thats the honest truth Now the law school itself. They are renovating most of the building so the places we took the tour of were nice (but they aren't open yet, possibly by the fall, or so they say). The students seem cool. The law library was really nice, its connected directly to the law school (that was a a big plus). I got a sense that the school has a really good reputation in cleveland, but after visiting the city, i don't know how much I would wanna stay around after I graduate. I think you could get a decent education (especially for the price), but im just not too fond of the city or location, and im not one to be picky about location either so if that tells you anything...... hope this helps. Feel free to ask any me anymore questions. Take care!
- dominrricanWishing you the best of luck on your cycle. Thank you for inspiring others. C:
- crissylawyer2beCongratulations on Dayton. I am still waiting to hear from them. I hope to be your classmate!!! LOL Email me!! Crissy
- crissylawyer2beHey Chukaman, Congratulations on your acceptances!! Have you decided where you want to go? You said you were accepted to the Widener TAP program...but it wasn't really what you wanted?
- CAMI1981Well Chukaman....I think I hate you and I don't even know you. LOL. Actually, I just happened to notice that your file went complete on 3/12 and you received your decision on 3/26. I am still waiting to hear from them and my file went complete on 3/10. Congrats on your acceptances. I don't really hate you....I am just extremely jealous. I am assuming that I didn't get accepted to Widener though since I heard the seat deposit for the TAP program is due Monday, 4/21. If you don't mind sharing or even remember.....did you only hear from them via mail? Did you get emails or phone calls? I followed up with them today and still haven't heard anything.
- mlieggicongrats on LoyNO...I went to visit there last week...beautiful campus...so do you have any idea where you are going?
- alexisMan...your cycle is looking good...CONGRATS ON ALL THE RECENT ACCEPTANCES...
- gamecock08I did finally hear back from Widener only to find out that they are "still considering my application" and I will hear back in early May, 2008. I didn't take my LSATs until 2/2 so while I applied in December/January/February none of my apps went complete until late February, early March. In fact, Rutgers just told me that my app was complete on 3/25. I just wish I knew what was up. I would like to sit for the June LSAT if I don't get in anywhere and re-start the process but I also don't want to waste $200.00 if I don't have to. Please just keep your fingers crossed for me. I'll let you know when I hear something.
- mlieggiSo its been a couple of months and I see you received more good news! Thats wonderful.
- carlykAre you going to Loyola? Loyola NO is a good Jesuit law school. I am thinking of going to SLU. Send me an e-mail Chukaman. Let's talk further.
- CrimLawHispanicI appreciate the praise. Have you decided on where you will attend?
- wajihcHave you decided on a school yet? Congrats on Loyola!
