10/19 -Got my first LSAT score over the weekend...152. Not too excited about this as my PT averages were higher, with my highest being 164. Thus, a December retake it is. This pushes back my plans to submit my apps right away, but I need a higher score so we'll see!

10/19 -After some careful thought, I decided to just go ahead and submit my app to Howard. I didn't want to to take the risk of waiting until the top of next year and missing out on scholarship money. I'm praying that they will like my numbers/soft factors and will let me in!

10/20 - Decided to throw my hat in the ring at FCSL. Definitely not a choice to attend, but it was free and I want to see how much $$$ they are willing to give.

10/21 - E-mail from the Dean of FCSL. $12k scholarship and I will be accepted in the coming days! One down, hopefully many more to follow : ) Went ahead and submitted my app to FIU as well.

10/22 - Apps sent to Stetson and NCCU today. Will apply to the rest after I retake in December.

10/26 - Put in the app to DePaul. Seriously, now I will stop ; )

10/30 - Received emails from Stetson, NCCU, and DePaul these last few days stating that they have received my application. If only I could get some feedback from the others (i.e., Howard)! Debating also now if I still want to retake the LSAT in Dec/apply to more schools this cycle. The job market isn't looking too hot, and it may be in my best interest to see how things pan out with the schools I've applied to thus far, and possibly retake the LSAT in June of 2010 and apply next cycle. Still thinking this over though...

11/2 - Just received an email from Charlotte School of Law offering me a $12k scholarship. Not a school I'm interested in unfortunately.

11/7 - Decided to scale back on the applications due to the fact that I may not go off to law school this cycle. I've been doing some soul searching, and to be honest, I just don't know if I want it bad enough. I'm quite debt averse, and I don't want to make a foolish mistake by jeopardizing my current career for more debt and perhaps minimal job options. I will let the chips fall where they may with my current apps, and I'm not going to retake until at least June 2010. If I get a good scholly, I will go. But if not, I will wait it out and see how I feel next summer.

11/18 - For all those who are interested, I received no notification from FIU regarding the status of my application. I had to email them in order to confirm if it was received and/or complete. So, for all of you who are awaiting an email, it seems you have to make contact from your end. Hope that helps someone!

12/1 - Received my acceptance letter to DePaul today!! Also was awarded a $30k scholarship over 3 years, so $10k per year. A little lower than preferred, but I'm excited I've got options!

12/5 - Praise the Lord! Received my acceptance to Stetson today : ) No scholarship details enclosed, but will find that info out next week.

12/17 - Accepted to American. My cycle is going pretty well!

01/12 - Waitlisted at Howard. Disappointed is an understatement : (

01/21 - Received notification via FedEx today....FULL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP TO STETSON!!! God is so awesome!!!

01/29 - Waitlisted at both of my safeties. Pretty certain I will be at Stetson in the fall : )

On you acceptance to FCSL. Hope all of your other applications go as well. My numbers are pretty close to yours but I'm not going to retake the LSAT. I'm letting the chips fall where they may.

Waitlisted at Howard? Your numbers looked good to me. I'm sure you'll get in..I think they have an enormous amount apps this cycle. Everyone does.

Your decision date is listed as 1/22 for NCCU, have you heard anything yet? My status checker listed decision rendered on 1/22 also. Did your seat deposit amount change on your status checker?

No, I have yet to actually receive the decision. I'm assuming it will be here at some point this week. My seat deposit amount has yet to change, yours?

Please withdraw from American Univeristy if you do not intend on attending. This would greatly help out many people that are currently waiting for a spot. Please consider it. Thanks!
