ADDITIONAL INFO & UPDATES

Scholarship amounts are per year.

10/09 Got all of my LOR's processed, ready to roll.

Crapping blue cheese as so many people are getting acceptances and I'm still in the blue.

12/10 Rejected by GULC. Thin Envelope with a G-Town logo.

12/13 Decided to check Fordham Online Status Checker and Bam!- Decision : Denied. If Fordham rejected me, a school that I'm supposedly competitive in, I might not be going to LS at all.

12/17 Checked my mail. big package from BC!!! And a small envelope from Cornell :(.

1/02 In at Emory, got a call about my acceptance package being returned because they forgot to put my apt address.

1/08 Just got off the phone with Dozo; I'm in. Got a packet from Dozo, my scholarship is renewable as long as I have a 3.3 GPA (top 40%), if I drop below that, they give me a partial scholarship.

1/14 Thin envelope from Berkley notifying me of my rejection. Post marked January 10th.

1/15 Waitlisted at UCLA. Received my notification in a thin envelope. Planning to stay on the wait list.

1/22 Just got a phone call from BU; I'm in!!! The woman on the phone told me that I should be receiving an admissions packet very soon.

Also received a rejection from NYU; expected, but hurts.

1/30 In at Brooklyn by e-mail

2/09 Deferred by Fordham. Weird, I thought they rejected me in December...

2/11 Rejected at GW. Not disappointed.

2/29 Wait-listed at UMich. Staying on it.
USC Acceptance.
Got A financial Aid package from BU. It's $25, which covers half of expected spending, not much, but a still decent.

Also, decided to withdraw from schools I haven't heard back from.

7/30 This is probably my final update. Rejected by pretty much all of my wait-lists, but Cornell. Also got a phone call from Fordham today, asking if I wanted to attend; kind of weird since I asked to be taken off the WL awhile ago.

It\'s fine that you\'ve accepted waitlist hell, but I really think it\'s going to be more than just a sprinkling of rejections. You should think about adding schools like Emory, GW (another reach really), Minnesota, Iowa, William and Mary, George Mason, WL, and UNC to your list.

  • You owe it to yourself...

You owe it to yourself to apply to some more places where you are likely to be accepted. Is there some reason you think you will be getting into these places? I hate to break it to you, but law school is a numbers game...

Yeh, I know it's a numbers game. As September approaches I'll take off a bunch of schools I have up there and add a bunch. The schools I have now are the ones I want to go to. I'm also gonna seek help of admission consultants and get the to trim my choices to schools where I have a fair chance.

Awesome LSAT retake, by the way. Here's hoping we get into schools we like--or at least some fee waivers.

I added you to my watch list since we're applying to a lot of the same schools. Good luck!

Your comment made me smile...mostly because I was thinking, "Wait, has he seen a picture of me?!? Does he know who I am?!?" :-) Good luck this cycle...I think we overlap on a few schools. This whole process iS SO stressful!

Wow, how come I didn't know about your LSAT scores? I have a 154 and 166. Cool. Only one school in common though. Good, we won't be competing for the same spot, lol. Good luck this cycle!

I just noticed you're another 166/3.5'er, welcome to the club. Oh and did you apply to both GULC programs or just FT?

Sorry about Fordham, I can not understand why they would reject you. You have not received anything in writing from the yet, right? Let's hope the status check was a mistake. It had to have been; your too good an applicant to be rejected right off the bat like that. Either way there's sure to be some acceptances coming your way soon. Good Luck!

Congratulations on BC! Maybe NYU will take you considering that you a croissant. There are many good croissant shops in the Village. There's one on Spring St. called Cesi ce la that is especially good.

The initial rejection couldn't have been true! Maybe this is a sign of good things to come.... Usually it's Apply --> Defer --> Rej,Accept, but maybe Fordham is trying something new... Reject --> Defer --> Accept. That sucks on GW though, and it is strange... you have a pretty good GPA and with the 166.... Anyway, maybe we'll both be enjoying some New York Chedder next year in Ithaca. funny to see how your admissions process turned out given your superiority complex in the AA threads of LSD.
