Since we're both from VA and share close-enough numbers, I thought I'd say hi. I'm curious to see if being an athlete helps with admissions.

Hey Guiness, I called UMD a few weeks after i sent in my app and they send the admissons commitee comes together for the December..so i guess they are holding off on getting all materials until then..either way, you and i will be part of that first batch which is reviewed and that is the most important part..fyi, we have alot of schools in common..

...and congrats on American! I don't know about Harvard and Yale...the LSATs a little on the low side for those two. I would be so happy if I could get NYU or Columbia though!

Hey girl..thanks for the advice. i am contemplating UCLA. my problem is that i am trying to avoid coming back to the East Coast--which excludes alot of top notch schools, like GU or GW. Congrats on AU! That school is great..ive visited their campus, its really beautiful. the law school has a huge building that is 5 mins from the main campus..it is on the outskirts of DC, but still a great location. are u holding out for money?

how did cornell inform you of the status (email or letter)? I just went "Decision" on their status checker but I'm stuck at home, so I'm hoping if it's a letter it didn't get sent to my school address... good luck at Penn!

Hey Girl, thanks for letting me know about Penn. I wonder if I'll get in..If I do, I could definitely commit to a visit to find out more about it. To be honest, my older supervisor went to Penn for law school and she hated it. She also had a public interest background and had issues with the students at the school.. have you gone for the visit yet and done your deposit? I am going to NU on Feb. 28th and UIUC on March 7th..I wish I could post pics up on this thing..how is everything else? you're still in school, right?

btw, you were right about UMD and scholarship money..I called them to ask about scholarship money and they said I am not a candidate for any scholarships or merit aid. This is surprising considering that I have lived in MD for most of my life and I went to their undergrad. Needless to say, I wont be going back there for law school..

I chose Duke. In the end, it was just the better fit and alot cheaper!
