Extra Curricular Information

Worked approx 35 hours per week throughout undergrad.
No actual extracurriculars.
Working full time at a law firm now.

Expecting one great LOR and two average ones.

Tried to be funny in my PS, let's see how that goes with the adcoms.
(I really am funny, and so is my PS, though, no sweat. Seriously.)

ADDITIONAL INFO & UPDATES

Tried to get applications in as early as possible to give myself the longest and most agonizing waiting period available. Feel free to ask questions.

Rankings indicate USNWR numbers.

Numbers, etc. are fudged a tiny bit.

Last LOR received at LSAC 11/14.

11/2: GULC Acceptance in mailbox. Hooray! Tiny card-sized envelope with personal message on inside.

11/5: Texas Acceptance in mailbox. Large white envelope clearly marked "Admissions Materials Enclosed."

11/15: Updated my account to reflect where I've gone complete. Some of the status checkers don't give dates, so I just dated some of them with the date that I realized I was complete.

11/19: Still haven't gotten ANYTHING from several of the schools to which I applied. Hoping I will start to go complete now that my last LOR is in.

11/23: In at WUSTL by snail mail. Business sized white envelope in PO box.

I want more decisions! Starting to freak out about not being complete so many places as well...

11/29/07: Have gone complete a lot of places the past few days. Am considering emailing the schools where I am not complete to see if there is a hold up. I am really hoping for a lot of December decisions!

12/1/07: Complete now everywhere but NYU, HLS and W/Lee. I got an email about a missing form from W/Lee, and I am considering withdrawing my application instead.

12/6/07: Complete at Harvard and acceptance from Vandy. Also went to decision at Michigan-- here's to hoping.

12/10/07: In at Michigan.

12/14/07: In at Cornell via email and complete (Finally!) at NYU. Deferred at Boalt. At least I think it is a deferral?

12/17/07: In at Duke via email and UCLA by phone. Cornell package received in the mail as well.

12/21/07: In at Penn via phone call and in at USC via snail mail. Merry Christmas!

1/7/08: At decision on UVA status check. I am ready for this cycle to be over.

1/23/08: In at Chicago via phone call.

2/2/08: Ouch! First ding from Stanford. Can't say I was surprised.

2/8/08: Lame rejection email from Harvard. As someone on LSD said, they can't spend the time to fix the formatting? Seriously? Whatev. Bill Belichick can suck it.

2/11/08: Deferred from Columbia. Will be withdrawing from everywhere except Penn and the few schools still holding out on me. Good luck to everyone!

2/23/08: Deferral at Boalt turned into a rejection. Oh well. Bill Belichick can still suck it. Now that it is almost March, it would be nice of the NYC schools would get back to me. I mean, I cheered for the freaking Giants in the Super Bowl. That should warrant at least a courtesy waitlist or something, right?

4/18/08: FINALLY got word from NYU: waitlisted. Not playing that game, though, so my cycle is over. Penn-- here I come!

I got a 163 on the Sept. 07 test, and I'm retaking in Dec. I always scored between 166-171 on the prep-tests and I was wondering how much different it was taking the LSAT for the second time. Also, did you study a lot more for the second one? How much time elapsed between your two scores? Thank you very much.

I don't know, I'm just waiting to see where I get in. I'm trying not to want to go to any school so badly that I'll be disappointed if I get rejected there. How about you? You're going to have some great options!
