Additional info & updates

11-20-07 St. Thomas scholarship is renewable if top 25% of class.

Its official, going to Stetson Full Time! It is more expensive than my other in-state choices, but it's also a much better school, IMHO.

If you're going to Stetson as well, feel free to PM me.

Which school are you thinking of attending?

FAMU

Why the second thoughts? Also, why aren't you taking Barry up on their $40K scholarship? What did the letters look like? How were you notified for each? Thanks! PS Hope to see you on campus, too! :-)

Hey there i see that you are having second thoughts about FAMU. I encourage yuou to visit the school and im sure once you do you will see that it is a great environment and they are very supportive of thier students. Please dont be discouraged by the accredation situation. htey will have it in full by the end of this year. Hope to see you there!

I have been reading some of your comments on other people's pages about FAMU being accredited. I call the bar on this issue and thye said that it is not a problem. They said that if as long as they are accredited 1 year before you start then it is fine. I then asked what happens if they loose the provisional accreditation and they said it doesn't matter. All that matters is that they were accredited 1 year before you start. This was the deal breaker for me becuase I couldn't justify 30,000 a year. I also have a friend who attended FAMU law school and said it is a good school. Well, good luck with your cycle.

I have spoken with the appropriate people who are in charge. We have a new President at the undergrad and Law school level. I was told thast we should have it by the end of the year

Barry did have a similar situation but the difference was that Barry never had the provisional accred but they were making promises to the students that they would. I feel you on the issue of losing it what it would do to people coming out of there. I figure that it's reputation now isn't going to put me into a great job when I graduate. I am trying the cheapest route possible and hope that my hard work and dedication in my first job will land me a better job. That is going to be heck of a trip from Idaho.

Thanks. Everything with them was via USPS (mail). I was very surprised to be notified so early. White envelope with a yellow page enclosed.

Hey man, Been pretty hectic for me working a summer job here and have been meaning to get back to you. Are you for sure going to Stetson? If so, that is awesome. Are you going full or part-time?
