4/23 - Cycle is over! Not sure how long I'll stay on the Harvard waitlist due to logistics. Either way, I'm really excited about Penn.

***

Out of school for a few years. Fairly unusual work and volunteer experience.

For what it's worth, I wrote a Why Penn, but didn't write a Why Michigan.

Dean's Scholarships from Michigan and NYU. Academic merit scholarship from UVa. Amounts are three-year totals.

$40k in need-based aid from Penn.

"Hold" at Columbia 1/31, "Reserve" 4/12 (after submitting LOCI and additional recommendation). LSN needs a "Deferred, WL" option.

Good luck, # twin!

that is the sexiest lsat score. 180 is too perfect, 179 you get the whole one-point-more-almost-there inferiority complex, but 178 just says...yo. ima baller. i got this on lock.

Really? BTW, sorry about the CLS hold. You probably have a good chance to get off it, though. Good luck!

I just wanted to comment on how much I love your username because ALIAS is my all time favorite show and of course Sydney Bristow is the best!!!! Best of luck to you :)

Oh!

From ALIAS... OK. I've only seen the show a few times. Thanks for the well wishes. I think you'll definitely be accepted if you just send a letter of continued interest. Good luck! :)

I'm surprised you were held at CLS! I do think you'll be in.

hey!

To answer your question, I think I'm going to let $$ help me decide, barring getting into Harvard (which I don't expect). If you want, drop me a line via email! We have similar numbers and are also a bit "non-trad," so I'd love to talk to you a little more in-depth.

I am in a suburb of Boston, in fact... when did you graduate? Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your username. I miss the first two seasons of Alias so much.

Congrats on your cycle so far too!!

Thank you for the congratulations!

I also agree with lovelyavocado that you have the sexiest LSAT score ever.

Thanks for the congrats. Look like your cycle is shaping up nicely. Where are you leaning so far?

CLS may (and really should) work out for you. I didn't bother applying outside of my beloved Northeastern United States (except GULC, but that sort of counts). What sort of campaigns/activism?

Heya :)

Similar numbers (your GPA better, though), and similar situation (Waiting on Harvard, Columbia and UVA) Good luck to you! Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer. If nothing changes, I'm headed to Penn - Do you have a frontrunner?

I never post on these boards, but I couldnt help but comment first on the awesome LSN id (to which mine bears a resemblance) and the awesome LSD id (I hear Team JAM is gearing up for May sweeps). The energy I spent on a mild (read: severe) obsession with Alias is now redirected to a mild (again, read: severe) with the Office. With that said, I must congratulate you on the Penn acceptance. Hope everything works out with the rest of the cycle. Perhaps I will see you there in the fall. Always need more people for the team. Best of luck.

Congrats!

Great news on UVA!!! Happy for you :)

I also just noticed your extracuriculars... which comedy/theater groups were you involved in??

Nice...
Sunday, November 05 2006 at 07:00 PM

All of your old organizations are still alive and well; I've done a bunch of stuff in the UTC over four years, and I was in False Ad until about midway through my junior year, which is why I was curious... yay comedy!! Where're you leaning so far?

Congrats on a great cycle (even if you're not coming to Michigan!) I was an organizer with the NYC Musicians Union (802 AFM) and 1199NY SEIU (health care workers). Think you'll keep doing labor stuff?

Not interested in living in Philly, honestly! The only schools I applied to that were in big cities were ones that gave me fee waivers. Nothing against cities other than cost of living. We're used to a professional lifestyle, so cost of living differences are a little harder on us than on people who are still used to being students, I think.

I sort of hate asking for money. And they haven't offered yet, so. Just checked Capogiro flavor list--they have Amarena at 13th St. I am never in Philly when they have it. Grrrrrr.

Still waiting on HLS, but I decided I was wasn't going to move the family to take CLS over Penn, so I bowed out of that particular ring today. Good luck if you still haven't heard!
