01/26/07: no mail. no updates. in other news, i had a really lovely lemon tart for lunch. as a result, my first choice school will now be the one with the highest number of bakeries in the immediate vicinity. yum. can't get through torts without a torte! (omg im lame; please i want mail from columbia)

01/24/07: FULL DARROW!! had my tstock call too -- he called while i was walking home w/ books, so i just sat down on the curb & took the call. hope it went well...*crossed fingers*

Thanks for the support with Boalt, my hopes are diminishing rapidly though. Congrats on the Darrow invite, that's an awesome scholarship to be considered for. I'm sure you'll do great this cycle.

good luck, twin. nyu was pretty much silent until i went complete and then they were completely silent until i received the packet in the mail.

my first choice is capricious -- i read websites & viewbooks and get so excited about clinics and international legal study programs and elective classes and extracurrics. i'm a big nerd. i figured i'd hold off on having a REAL first choice until i got in (and then have a first choice from the accepted list, to protect my fragile feelings!) -- so moral of the story is that i'm easily won over. prestige is important, opportunities more so, and attractive $$ options will factor in unless its HYSCCN

Belly dancing club
Saturday, September 16 2006 at 08:00 PM

TStock will admit you right then. You should seriously do it. But work it into the conversation. Like he says, "So, why do you want to go to Harvard?" and you say "To start a belly dancing club!"

Oh!
Monday, October 16 2006 at 08:00 PM

I bet your application is a whole heck of a lot more interesting to read! You've got to be one of the most interesting applicants here.

i'm sure
Friday, August 25 2006 at 08:00 PM

you're all set with the darrow, and the no-call from harvard probably means nothing at this point in the cycle. the darrow vs. harvard thing is killing me

First choice . . .
Sunday, May 14 2006 at 08:00 PM

Used to be Columbia, but I'm sweet on Michigan, so we'll see. Is NYU your first choice?

NYU
Monday, September 18 2006 at 08:00 PM

I see that others have commented on NYU, but I'll comment anyway. :) I never got any "complete" confirmation (although I've been in and out of town and coud have easily and stupidly missed it)so it was a very pleasant surprise when I received an acceptance envelope (big and yellow, if you're keeping track), especially since it was my (kind-of maybe) first choice. Good luck in your endeavors!

Good luck to us
Tuesday, November 28 2006 at 07:00 PM

Yeah, I hope our numbers are good enough. I don't really know who my first choice is right now. Either UCLA to live near family, or UPenn, cause I love the east coast.

to you as well
Friday, September 29 2006 at 08:00 PM

Congratulations to you as well... I'm not even complete yet at Boalt or Georgetown

Thanks!
Wednesday, December 20 2006 at 07:00 PM

Thanks LSAT twin :) I actually go to school in NYC now and had waffled about applying to NYU because I really don't like the atmosphere in their undergrad program... but I changed my mind and applied anyways. I hope it wasn't too late! Congrats on all your accepts, good luck with the rest!

Hi
Thursday, January 04 2007 at 07:00 PM

Wow, you have great numbers. You will definitely get into every school that you applied for. By the way, what's wrong with disclosing too much information on LSN, if you don't mind my asking? What did the "cryptic email" say?

i think we met...
Tuesday, December 12 2006 at 07:00 PM

at the rhodes finals... if you are who i think you are, you should have no trouble getting notes and $. congrats on all your acceptances!

Thanks
Saturday, December 02 2006 at 07:00 PM

Thanks for the encouragement. You got into Michigan! I am jealous. Good luck with the rest of your cycle.

Some more places?
Saturday, September 16 2006 at 08:00 PM

You mean like, one? :) My fault for being so late in the cycle. TStock hasn't given a lot of deserving people love yet, so don't worry. If we end up at the same school, you can start the bellydancing club and I'll be the, um, Vice President of Observation.

Oh...
Saturday, September 16 2006 at 08:00 PM

...I didn't even see your UVa acceptance. Congrats! Many more to come...

Congrats
Friday, April 21 2006 at 08:00 PM

on your acceptances so far. Are you going to GULC's ASW?

Good luck!
Wednesday, May 17 2006 at 08:00 PM

Just wanted to wish you luck on your interview with Dean Stock. Hope you hear good news from H soon.

Tuesday, November 21 2006 at 07:00 PM

I've been complete at H around 2 weeks longer than you, so I'm 2 weeks away from the 8 week deadline that H seems to have before making an initial notification. I'm expecting a hold at best. Let me know how your call goes (I'm sure it'll go very well, you're a Rhodes finalist).

awww. no real front-runners at the moment, though i love michigan for treating me so well...i'm really falling for them more day after day

Thanks!
Saturday, September 16 2006 at 08:00 PM

I'll give you half if you go with me!

Shh shh shh shh shh!
Saturday, September 16 2006 at 08:00 PM

Shhhhhhh.... shhhhhhhh.... there's a good avocado. Good avocado. :P I'm actually worried that, since I didn't get today, I'm out. Irrational, I know, but if you want it now, I REALLY want it now. Give it to me now, baby.

Amazing
Sunday, December 24 2006 at 07:00 PM

Youre amazing. I spent time at a madrassa studying Islamic law, and I was hoping the experience would give me an edge with Harvard. But a book as an undergrad, and a thesis on an Islamic law topic? If Harvard has room for us both, we have to have coffee.

Malaysia
Sunday, December 24 2006 at 07:00 PM

Malaysia...home of the shafi'i madhhab in the far east. I'll be glad to tell you about my experience there. I can't seem to find your email. Mine is here (I hope you can view it).

There
Sunday, December 24 2006 at 07:00 PM

By "there," I meant the madrassa, not Malaysia :)

I've decided
Saturday, September 16 2006 at 08:00 PM

We're good. It'll just take a little longer for us to hear back. I'm thinking I'll be a March admit. :)

congratulations
Sunday, December 11 2005 at 07:00 PM

on HARVARD! Hell yeah!

Harvard
Monday, December 18 2006 at 07:00 PM

Goodness gracious!! Congratulations! :) I'm so excited for you!

Yo
Wednesday, December 06 2006 at 07:00 PM

Do you go to Princeton?

Harvard and NYU...
Saturday, September 16 2006 at 08:00 PM

...on the same day! Dammmmmn. (please withdraw from NYU. And Berkeley). ;)

awww thank you :)
Monday, December 18 2006 at 07:00 PM

Thanks for the sweet comments. I came home today to an awesome scholarship, I bet your good vibes helped :). And NYU too? It must be your lucky day!!

Oh, okay
Wednesday, December 06 2006 at 07:00 PM

I thought you might go to P-ton based on the fact that your favorite color is "bright orange" but apparently I'm not as clever as I thought. I may or may not be your classmate next year. I'm waiting on Yale before I make a decision. I also may defer law school for a year to go work in China. Congrats on your acceptance!

:)
Saturday, December 16 2006 at 07:00 PM

yea! we will be classmates...unless somewhere else manages to seduce me in the interim...but you seem so nice! Cambridge will adore you!

Thanks
Friday, April 21 2006 at 08:00 PM

Thanks girl. I know it's only a matter of time until you're in at Columbia too. Do you think that they'll be able to sway you from Harvard?

i know, right?
Thursday, June 08 2006 at 08:00 PM

right now my problem isn't harvard vs. mich w/money, it's how i'm going to resolve the eight-car pileup that is my law school decision. we're both gonna have some tough choices to make, and soon! congrats to you.

Yale!!
Saturday, September 16 2006 at 08:00 PM

I hate you. :)

Yale!
Saturday, January 06 2007 at 07:00 PM

Congrats!!! Although, alas, now I'm pretty sure we won't end up as classmates. Go you!!

Oh my!
Monday, December 04 2006 at 07:00 PM

Congratulations on Yale! An attorney at the firm I'm with now graduated from Yale. She said it's lovely!

No coffee?
Sunday, December 24 2006 at 07:00 PM

Congrats! I'm really happy for you--I guess we won't be having that coffee after all. ;)

Thanks for the message!
Sunday, December 03 2006 at 07:00 PM

Wow, you have many many more wellwishers than I! :) I'm leaning toward Yale too, so we may indeed be classmates. I'd like to visit Stanford and Harvard too, but unfortunately they haven't accepted me yet. Are you going to Yale ASW?

Heya
Thursday, October 19 2006 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on your acceptances :-) I'm interested in Middle East-related legal studies as well (specifically political development). With that in mind, how are you weighing YLS v. HLS? I'm having major trouble and would love to discuss it with someone with similar interests. Throw me an e-mail if you're interested. Scott

Time to withdraw?
