Congrats on loyola and chapman! Did your status checker go from complete to decision?

Its hard to say because I was out of the country when the letter came to my house but I think it was about two weeks later or so. The 17K is per year if a 2.6 is maintained. email me if you have more questions, k? Good luck with your pending applications and finances!! :-)

Congrats on Loyola....Did the status checker change from incomplete to complete or did it go straight to decision? If it did, do long did it take?

Yeah

Yeah, good luck with all your stuff!

Soooooo...

Soooooooooo...I guess if I would have gotten my apps in 9 days earlier I would have heard back from Pepperdine and Loyola, hahaha.

Yep, I guess so... But at the end of the day, I am sure my education is as good or better than yours. Prestige means nothing to 2nd tier schools....its a question of if you can do the work or not...not what school you went to for your undergrad.

Congrats on all of your acceptances. Where do you think you're going next year? If you had to choose between Loyola and Pepperdine, which one do you like better and why?

Bar Passage
Tuesday, October 23 2007 at 08:00 PM

Unfortunately, bar passage doesn't equate to guaranteed jobs or respect from employers. Loyola still beats Pep. on that count, and for me, that is the most important one. Plus the tour guide at Pepperdine suggesting I go on a mission kind of put me off.

Yes

Yes, I think i will attend pepperdine. The only school that I am waiting for now is BYU, I like pepperdine more, but BYU is cheaper. Also, because I am not sure if I can maintain the scholarship in the 2L since I never been educated in US. However, I am 80 percent sure that I will be in Pepperdine.

Pepperdine

Yep! I'm going to Pepperdine. I visited a few weeks ago and loved it. My experience there was way better than my visit to Loyola. Everyone was so helpful, and the campus was so beautiful. They took us to lunch--then we got a tour and sat in on a class. There was a real sense of community on campus-- something that was absent at Loyola (I guess that's because it's a commuter school). I know Loyola may have a huge alumni base that helps graduates get jobs, but I think if I do well, do internships and network, I should be fine. Plus, my undergrad has a huge alumni base, so I've been networking since I got here. Good luck!

Housing
Monday, July 30 2007 at 08:00 PM

Sorry to take so long before responding! I went online to housing, filled out the application (You need a student ID # for this), and paid a deposit. A couple weeks later, they called to let me know that I have an apartment. I'm so excited!
