Huh...I didn't apply early action. They still promised me a decision by March 1st, so whatever the letter was, it matters not!
Congrats on Maryland!
The advice given to me by a GW Law alum was to go visit and meet the dean of admissions and submit additional letters of rec. One thing to consider is that if you are waitlisted, you are given the option of applying for the night program simultaneously. I know it's not ideal, but you can switch to full day-time as early as your second term. If GW is your top choice or perhaps just your best option, this is a way to at least get in the door. As for me, I'm leaning towards being in Seattle or NY, but I still plan on submitting additional letters and seeing where the chips fall.
Just curious, how'd you hear you were complete at BU?
I decided not to wait for the other schools, because I had them ranked near the bottom of my choices. You have got some great schools left to hear from. Good luck!
Yea I'm already writing a letter at work right now...and trying to think of what else I could send without being too obnoxious..we'll see..good luck to you too!
Thanks for posting. I see exactly what you mean. You really can't be sure until GW and G-T let you know whether you will get off the WL. I hope you get some good news from one of them!
I have an interview with the scholarship committee next month
Glad to know someone else is in the same boat as me! If none of my other pending apps come through, I'll have to decide between BU and BC. Any advice? I see you didn't apply to BC, any specific reason?
Thanks for the support, my friend went on my name and changed my stats, which I think explains the second comment. Good luck with everything i hope georgetown works out
Close #s !! I got smacked at Georgetown , GW and Fordham..waited at American. Keeping my fingers crossed with BU. But rejections keep comin. I think I may have applied to late!
I applied mid January.. maybe a bit to late. I have pondered the year off thing.. buy it wasn't really part of the plan. I have to start re-grouping.
Hey there :) I was also just recently waitlisted at BU (after also being waitlisted at Emory). I have very similar numbers as you. I'm just curious what you are sending your waitlist schools. I graduated last year, so I don't have any updated transcripts. I do plan to send a letter of continued interest but don't know much about what they are supposed to say exactly... Just curious what else you are sending. I know an extra rec letter is an option, but that was such a hassle getting the original ones that I'm thinking maybe that's not the best route for me. Thanks! and good luck with the others!
Not sure yet... would really love to go to BU. I am still pending there. W&M would be good too. We share about the same #S and I got smacked at Fordham and GW. The system is so random sometimes.
I received the same letter. I assume it's their deferral.
