Thanks for the congratulations everyone! I have no idea where I'm going to attend yet, but will start making some decisions and withdrawing soon.
I was deferred in the middle of January, and I just got a call this afternoon (2/7/06). I was a little surprised, because I didn't send them anything, even though I was planning an extra recommendation letter.
Congrats on Harvard! Just wondering... did you get an "interview" call from Toby Stock before you got your deferral?
Thanks for the congratulations! Here's the deal with Harvard: I went complete on 11/29/05. I had an "interview" with Toby Stock a few days later, and then my deferral came in the middle of January. I didn't send any extra materials, even though I was planning to. At this point I'm probably going to withdraw from all but the schools but Harvard, Stanford, Columbia and NYU (even though I am a little $ sensitive).
How did you get your harvard decision (i.e. phone call, letter, email, etc.)? Thanks and congrats on all the great acceptances!

Thanks for the message. I was ED at Chicago, so I dinged HYS (haha). While I\\\'ll always wonder if I would\\\'ve gotten in at HYS, I am ecstatic about Chicago. Plus, I live in--and will return to--Northwest Indiana, which makes Chicago perfect for future professional contacts.
Why didn't you send any additional info to Harvard?You knew you'd get in w/o sending follow up letters? Don't you have to at least send something to increase your chances of an acceptance? How'd you get in?? That's awesome though - Congrats!... Give me some tips

i worked with "prayatna samiti," which was doing stuff with sustainable agriculture and microcredit, in rural rajasthan for a couple months. how bout you?
