Forgive a stupid question, but what does that little "1" next to Boalt mean--that it's your first choice? How did you get it up there? Congrats on your acceptances Oops, was I supposed to write in French?

The 1 does mean its my first choice, and there's a little pulldown menu right there in the 'edit my profile' section.
Well, actually, USC and UCLA were both backups, I HATE los angeles, but figured i could get into either or both of those schools, both of which are great, everything ranked higher I considered a longshot because of my 167. The only reason why I haven't withdrawn from UCLA is because they have this weird online system, and I have to find that stupid letter with my username and password on it first.
I'm actually hoping to get out to Berkeley this weekend sometime. I cant wait to buy a hat and start rooting for the bears. You know anything about Berkeley housing? See you next year!
Guess who this is? I got one of this too, so now you can see how slowly my decisions are coming. got rejected from BC today, after 2 months of defer. oh well. I can't wait til Davis. pleae let me in! lol . ttyl!
Boalt is a better and cheaper school than Georgetown. As far as NYU goes, Boalt is also top ten, and a fraction of the cost. Also, registration is on a lottery system at NYU, and the housing is ridiculous. Furthermore, the starting salary figures are the same for NYU and Boalt, and I liked Boalt's programs better. The only reasons I could see to choose NYU would be 1)an intense desire to live in New York or 2) a simple minded belief that because US news says its four ranks better than its actually a more prestigious school. Neither of those reasons apply to me.
Looks like I'm heading off to Loyola next year, just got off their waitlist today. I'm excited.
