missed 3 on one logic section, missed 11 on the otherwhat fun...

oh well...life goes on.

That being said, Ive cruised this site for the past 2 cycles, and Im very glad that now Im finally on here.

Oh, and feel free to leave any helpful comments, though I suppose I could take a little criticism every now and then as well.

(3/26) Dinged at Florida, Ole Miss, and LSU, put on the back burner at Samford....conclusion....the south hates me.
what did i ever do to the south?!?

(3/27) Dinged at W&L. Fully expected, but yet another southern school giving me the cold shoulder.

(3/31) Waitlisted at Richmond, but I'm not sending in the card to keep my name on the list. Still waiting on Nova, as Pitt remains in the lead.

(4/19) Accepted at South Carolina, but i really do need some in-state tuition help for 1L, or at least 2L/3L, in order to really consider it. Given 11 days to respond.

(4/25) Whooohoooo! Accepted at Villanova. So now it's down to Pitt or Nova. Decisions, decisions....

(sometime in early May)...Yup....I went with Villanova.

Philly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like we are applying to a lot of the same schools with our very similar numbers. I will be watching your profile with interest. Are you retaking the LSAT in December?

First of all, let me congratulate you and ensure there is no bitterness here. I live less than an hour north of U of A, and I was sent probably the world's fastest "thanks but no thanks" letter last year. Although substantial in score difference, there are other factors this school will not consider. Yes, yes, I am bitter at THEM...not you. Furhter proof of the far-reaching vanity of Mr. LSAT and its spellbinding effects on sterile adcoms. Thanks for the vent and good luck.

I got bored and called the school on the 17th. I was told my file was being read, so I marked it complete. I was never officially given a complete date from Penn State.

Well...

I can't really tell you if they are known for being generous. LSAC.org's profile on them will tell you what percentage receives scholarships. My scores are what they are and I believe I had good LORs, as well as a personal statement I spent quite alot of time on. Sorry I couldn't answer your question better. Good luck.

I'm thinking Penn State cares about soft factors and maybe Mercer not so much. I do have a masters with a 3.84 GPA, many internships, and even more community services hours. Logically that's the only thing I can think of. Well, that and I think Penn State is really into diversity, so I did write a diversity statement. You could consider trying that for Penn State if you haven't already. Good luck this cycle! Best of luck.

Just wanted to let you know I applied to Notre Dame even though I don't have a chance in hell really. But there's always hope. Good luck to you.

What I have put as an amount is what I am being offered per year.

yeah I knew that rejection was coming...oh well. sorry to see you also got dinged at Ole Miss. That's honestly the first one I've gotten upset about because I thought I had a real chance there. I think my best plan now is to try to get off the LSU waitlist and be happy with that...definitely should have applied to more T3 schools. Congrats on Pitt, I'd love to go there (except for that whole thing about it being in Pittsburgh haha)

Yes, the money from South Carolina was an out-of-state tuition reduction. Good luck with your decision

USC

It was a non-resident merit scholarship. I didnt apply for it; i just got a letter about it. its a combination of a scholarship and tution reduction. good luck!

Mercer

How did Mercer notify you of the waitlist status? Good luck with all of your decisions!!

South Carolina
Monday, November 13 2006 at 07:00 PM

I received a large envelope from SC. Inside were three pieces of paper. One was offering admission, the second was offering the out of state fee waiver, and the third was a seat deposit form. Here is the wording on the second letter: You have been selected to receive a non-resident scholarship that will reduce your tuition more that $13,000 per year... You will receive that scholarship as long as long as you are a non-resident... I hope this helps. It can't hurt to call and ask to be considered for this scholarship, as i am sure people have not paid their seat deposits or withdrawn who word awarded this money, and the money is back in the system. Good luck.

Did you already withdraw from South Carolina or are you still considering it?
