Great GPA. Good luck with that LSAT. I've managed to get through my undergrad with very little debt and I'd like to make it through grad school the same way, hence Utah and BYU. Good luck with the apps. Sorry for the drubbing my Utes had to put on your Ags earlier this season.
Thanks for the good wishes and I'm sending out good luck vibes to you as well for a great LSAT score. Only 1 week until scores come back!
I feel your pain. I was practicing much higher too :(
Good luck with apps! I have a disappointing LSAT too. My GPA is a lot higher in comparison to my LSAT. I didn't do well on the SAT either, but in college my grades were close to perfect (2 B's) out of like 80 classes. What's the deal? I'm applying to a few schools where my grades will probably be the norm, but OSU is a reach. I would love to go there though for location, school and everything. What about you, why OSU?
My first choice would be the University of Texas....but from there on I can't decide, maybe University of Florida, I think I want to stay in the warm weather, but that could change. It's wierd that your practice lsat score was 8 pts higher because mine was too, but now we just have to hope for the best and that our GPA will help out. Keep in touch and good luck!
Our numbers are very similar, and we have applied to many of the same schools. I wish you the best of luck this cycle! Let me know how things go.
...a true aggie? It might help your apps if you are.
Oh man, I definitely hear you on the LSAT disappointment ... my score was also a good 5-6 points lower than my practices. :( Ah well, what can you do --- I ended up just rolling the dice and hoping early applications gave me enough of an edge. Good luck to you!! :)
You'll get your first 'in' soon, I'm sure --- it's a great feeling!! :) I'm honestly not sure where I most want to go --- it changes every week. I'd be all over going to UMiami if it wasn't so expensive!! The waiting is the worst part, though, so hang in there! :)
Same thing happened with Penn State with me, oh well, i really didn't think i was going to go there anyways but that still sucks. Anyways good luck with the rest of your applications and congrats on your acceptances!
sorry, wasn't logged in.
Congrats on Rutgers. Did you get accepted through their Jump Start program? That's what I was offered but I haven't received any info on it yet. Do you know anything about it?
In the JumpStart program you take 1 class during the summer which decreases your Fall course load to 3 classes rather than 4. After that you resume the normal course load in the Spring. I think they offer it to those with slightly lower LSAT's but higher GPAs and other strong soft factors. It works great for me b/c I have young children and have been out of school for quite a few years and it will give me a chance to get back into the swing of things. good luck with the rest of your cycle!
I just found out from Gonzaga too. They sent me an e-mail to some admitted students online chat. Strange, but glad to know I was accepted.
I'm glad to hear you liked Spokane. I hear mixed reviews from people but the DVD looked gorgeous and the cost of living is just too good to ignore. I'm hoping to visit on march 31st for their next event.
Right now my list of schools is not even close to set. I really want to get away from the west and so have focused on mainly schools towards the eastern part of the US. I have a few schools I consider safety schools just in case my LSAT isn't as high as I hope. Again, this is a very rough list and will be finalized when I get my score.
