actually, I received a scholarhsip application form (which basically had one line saying "I, INSERT YOUR NAME, would like to be considered for merit aid." I got it in the mail with the priority track application form. That being said, I didn't get the scholarship offer until a month or so after I got the acceptance.

I hadn't thought about it until I got a fee waiver with a little note "we love getting Grinnell grads!" so I thought what the hell, get an acceptance early, boost my confidence. but now i'm just mad. boo.

and it doesn't actually say that I was deferred, it just said that they have to review my application in light of the greater applicant pool, blah blah and that it will be reviewed again and that I might get a decision soon and blah blah. But, since it is a non-response saying to be patient I'm counting it as a deferral. Eh. Best of luck to you, though! And it's not too late to apply to Penn!!!!!!

Jordan! Yeah, I'm from St. Louis, so WashU is my "oh my god I can't bear to leave my family" option. We'll see; hopefully I have the guts to move elsewhere.

The GW offer will be tough to turn down, but at this point I will probably go to NYU, or if I get in, Columbia. NYC is very close to my hometown, and staying near my family and gf, along with the better job opportunities coming out of NYU/Columbia, will probably help me take it over GW's great offer.

congrats on the big GW offer and all your other acceptances...I'm in a similar predicament with the GW free ride vs higher ranked schools and was wondering what someone else thought about it? best of luck with your decision...

HELL YEAH

way to go on the serious cash from GW. Did it change your mind any? For the love of God, where should I go?

you were at Duke right now. I think I'm missing something. Yes, Duke and GULC are the same weekend. I'm hitting up Georgetown on 3/22, Penn on 3/23-3/24, DC again from 3/25-2/26, Duke from 3/27-3/28, and UVA from 3/29-2/30.
