Good luck from a fellow Tennessean! it looks like you will do well this cycle!!

Good luck!
Wednesday, May 10 2006 at 08:00 PM

I hope you do well. I'm sure you will. Have you happened to have heard anything back from U. of Louisville yet? I still haven't heard anything.

Love to see you here next year
Wednesday, November 28 2007 at 07:00 PM

I suspect you're familiar with Vanderbilt already, but we'd love to see you here next year. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them, or you can go to the facebook page for next year's class (which is run by this year's 1Ls). http://vanderbilt.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6634896370

Did you receive an e-mail from U of Louisville? If so, what was the e-mail address?

Chances
Wednesday, November 28 2007 at 07:00 PM

I certainly wouldn't put your "chances" of a Vandy admittance in any real doubt! In fact, I would surprised if you weren't offered some scholarship money, given the school's reputation for generosity. Even if you're familiar with the school already, those kinds of things seem to work into scholarship consideration. At any rate, best of luck, and I hope you end up here next year!

Thank you!

Thank you for keeping me up to date. And once again, I hope you do really well!

Thanks

I think you'll have no prob getting into Vandy...with that 170 you didn't want to take a crack at T10? A 170 opens a lot of doors...

Good Luck

To another Tennessean with a 170, I wish you the best of luck this cycle. Vandy is going to be awesome!

Memphis
Monday, July 30 2007 at 08:00 PM

I want an acceptance. Why won't Memphis let us in already?

WUSTL
Friday, May 11 2007 at 08:00 PM

Congratulations on WUSTL and Vandy. Two great schools..i've been doing alot of research on both, and am finding very very few differences between the two. If i get into Vandy (probably won't with my GPA) i'm going to have a very diffuclt decision to make, but congrats!

congrats

congratulations!! i haven't gotten anything in the mail yet..

thanks
Friday, May 11 2007 at 08:00 PM

Thanks for the nice words ha. You go to Vanderbilt already i'm sure right? Do you love it? I'm kind of scared to get into Vandy because then i mean, i'd have to go and make one of the harder decisions of my life because all i've heard is how similar the two schools are. They're even one spot apart on USNWR rankings

well, that depends
Wednesday, November 28 2007 at 07:00 PM

i know, i'm surprised too. if i don't get something in the mail tomorrow, i might call and see what's up. my first choices are YHS, but i know that's not entirely realistic. so columbia, nyu, penn are probably more realistic "first choices," though i'm really happy with georgetown - i'd love to go there.

The University of the South, sweet. I knew one girl that went there, she's an '08 like me. Also from South Fl, i hear you guys really go nuts up there.

actually
Friday, May 11 2007 at 08:00 PM

I actually didn't realize it was a religious school. Just thought it was a secular private school. But ya, up in the mountains, i'm sure those who want to have a great time. You leaning towards any certain schools for next year?

Vandy
Wednesday, November 28 2007 at 07:00 PM

haha yeah, i got this massive box of stuff. i was like "i think i got in" :)

preference
Friday, May 11 2007 at 08:00 PM

If i could go anywhere i applied, probably Vandy, regardless of money. but since i won't get in there most likely, it's going to come down to Wash U or Tulane dependinghow much money i get from Tulane

Congrats!
Wednesday, November 28 2007 at 07:00 PM

...on Vandy and Northwestern. Where do you think you want to go?

maybe
Wednesday, November 28 2007 at 07:00 PM

Out of the places I've heard from so far, Gtown is probably my first choice...though I'd have to go check out Northwestern. Michigan made a decision today, I don't know what it is, but if it's a yes, I'd have to go visit there too. And I'm still waiting on a bunch of schools. Ahh!

NYU
Wednesday, November 28 2007 at 07:00 PM

:) yeah, i think so...it would be hard to turn down living in the village and going to such a great school. i think i'll still go visit northwestern and gtown though, just for an excuse to visit chicago and dc

Numbers twin!!! Congrats on NU. I was there a few weeks back; it's in a great area of Chicago...you made a decision yet?

btw
Wednesday, April 25 2007 at 08:00 PM

I'm from TN as well!!!

Congrats!
Wednesday, May 10 2006 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on all of your acceptances! By the way, how did U of Louisville notify you?

U of L
Wednesday, May 10 2006 at 08:00 PM

Yeah, i'm kind of looking to stay here. If I don't get it, I'll most likely look for something else to do. Where do you think you'll go?

Memphis
Monday, July 30 2007 at 08:00 PM

My scholarship from Memphis was sent snail mail a week or two after my acceptance. It pays in-state tuition. I'm sure you will get it as well in the next couple of days. Still leaning toward Vandy?

Undecided
Monday, July 30 2007 at 08:00 PM

At this point, I too am leaning toward Vandy, though I'd like to know what scholarships they offer. I'm also considering taking a year off, retaking the LSAT, and applying again. Ideally, I would be able to save some money, get a better score, and have work experience/better recs. I hope everything works out for the best with you!

Memphis
Monday, July 30 2007 at 08:00 PM

Nothing from Memphis yet? I'm shocked. From what I understand, Vandy should begin making financial decisions in the next week or so. Good luck!

UofL
Wednesday, May 10 2006 at 08:00 PM

I guess no more law school for me this year. Guess i'll have to do something else. Have you decided on a place yet?

Thank you!
Thursday, July 05 2007 at 08:00 PM

Thanks for the congrats. I don't really have a top choice anymore, the UT money is really tempting, but William and Mary's higher rank sounds good also. And I also have a few more applications that I haven't received a decision for yet.

Vandy
Monday, July 30 2007 at 08:00 PM

I hear that Vandy is mailing scholarship decisions by the end of the week. Any closer to a decision?

Vandy
Monday, July 30 2007 at 08:00 PM

I'm pretty sure at this point that I'm going to take a year off. I'm working for the state senate right now and having a great time. Vandy is definitely looking good for you with the scholarship.

Thanks
Thursday, July 05 2007 at 08:00 PM

Thanks for the congrats! I haven't yet made a decision, but right now UT is first choice because of the scholarship money.

A Year Off
Monday, July 30 2007 at 08:00 PM

I'm still thinking about it. If I do, I'll start over completely next year (lots of fun!). Right now, Pepperdine looks like a good possibility too.
