Additional info & updates

2/15/2008 - Held at Columbia. I still think I would get in, but I'm going to go ahead and withdraw, as I never really wanted to go to school in NY...I just applied because I got the fee waiver. And maybe I want to spare myself a rejection :(. Good thing I have Harvard to fall back on :) .

1/22/2008 - In at UVA too! A 2 page letter came in the mail today. What a great day!

1/22/2008 - Toby Stock called today to let me know that I have been accepted to Harvard. Neat!

Now just waiting on UVA and Columbia.

1/18/2008 - UVA has made their decision...it's in the mail.

1/08/2008 - Toby Stock Call this week. Went well.

1/4/2008 - Email from Toby Stock. Very cool. Expecting the phone interview sometime next week.

12/29/2007 - In at Georgetown. Small envelope.

12/17/2007 - In at Vandy. They sent me a flat rate box full of stuff, and a separate letter saying I got in. Duke also sent the admitted students packet. All in all, about ten pounds of stuff...

12/16/2007 - Apparently Vandy has mailed their decision (on 12/13), so that's cool.

12/12/2007 - In at Duke.

12/08/2007 - I've sent in every app I plan on sending except for Yale (I'll get to that extra essay after exams). I have lots of financial aid stuff to fill out over the break. I think I've decided not to apply to Michigan, Chicago, or Northwestern. Too cold, don't like big cities...

11/28/2007 - Just sent in 5 apps...stuff left to do on 3 more (Vandy, Georgetown, Yale) and I'll get those in this week or next. I'm still deciding whether to apply to the rest on my list.

11/26/2007 - Lots more fee waivers...notably, Michigan, NYU, and Chicago.

11/05/2007 - Fee waivers have started coming in...notably Columbia, UVA, Northwestern, UCLA, Georgetown, and Duke.

Looks like we are definitely number twins - with a lot of the same schools. Best of luck this cycle - looks like you won't need it too much though!!:)

Impressive

My Index at Vandy is a 3.5 and I got a named scholarship... I wouldn't plan on paying to go there if I were you.

I heard you were starting applications this week. Good luck from me, and Bailey says good luck too (he called).

Echoing ridgeoister...

...who went through this with me last year, your Vanderbilt prospects for a full-ride are excellent. Meeting with the admissions staff informally could only help.

Wow LSAT
Monday, May 28 2007 at 08:00 PM

Congrats those numbers are going to get you into some great places and I'd be surprised if Georgia didn't give you a full ride

funny stuff
Friday, December 01 2006 at 07:00 PM

Yes, I too would be surprised if Georgia didn't give you a full ride (they gave one to my dumb ass). Also, I saw SEC1L today. RebeccaKay still eludes me. Turn in Vandy soon so I can start badmouthing you to professors.

UGA maybe
Monday, May 28 2007 at 08:00 PM

I have a couple of schools that, if the LSAT is right, I will spend the money and apply to and UGA is one of them. However, I don't have enough money to visit unless I'm accepted so it could be difficult for them to understand why the hell I'm applying down there and that does weigh against you. When Arkansas called with their offer, the gentleman began the conversation by asking why the hell I was applying. I know how good a school UGA is and I'd like to have the option, but I have to be patient (I despise being patient).

Congrats!

No - still nothing from them, but hopefully soon. Congrats on Duke - that is wonderful!

Congrats on Duke. I know a cadre of people who would love to get in there.

congrats

Congrats on Duke. Do you think you'll stay in state? I'm trying to decide if I'm going to apply to UGA/Emory.

??
Friday, March 09 2007 at 07:00 PM

I don't know. Harvard is harvard, but its never been my goal to go work for a big firm and so I'm not sure I want to saddle myself to that much debt. Plus I hate cold weather. A scholarship at Duke would be nice.

Congrats!

On Georgetown!

WOW
Friday, December 01 2006 at 07:00 PM

You are my hero. That is all.

Congrats!

Congrats!

On Virginia!

congrats!
Friday, March 09 2007 at 07:00 PM

That's a pretty good day. I'm still pretty torn. The scholarship at UVA is nice, but its hard to turn down Harvard. What do you think you're going to do?

Paranoia
Sunday, January 06 2008 at 07:00 PM

Thanks for the note! When I say paranoid, I'm saying that I'm a bit paranoid of adcomm being able to identify me with my application. The logic being that my app should have gotten me into Cornell but I may have been deferred because they knew I already had Harvard. The reason being that my numbers are pretty unique (not many people with a GPA over 4.1 and LSAT lower than 170). I'm probably just thinking too much about it.

Oh, and...
Sunday, January 06 2008 at 07:00 PM

CONGRATS ON HARVARD!! I totally didn't notice where you were applying. Hope to see you at ASW =D

???
Friday, March 09 2007 at 07:00 PM

I'm pretty open at this point, I just don't know if I want to strap myself to that much debt and be forced in a certain career path. But then again, I'm sure there are options coming out of harvard that aren't there from other schools.

Curious
