Additional info & updates

Hey there, Ill be attending Temple Law in the fall. I invite you to join the below Temple discussion board. Thought we should have a place to chat for future / on-the-fence Temple 1Ls. Drop by at: http://s9.invisionfree.com/Temple_Law_06/index.php.

__________________________________________________________

Transferred out of first school due personal issues--impacted first three semester of LSDAS GPA negatively.

Somewhat older (29) applicant with eight years experience as data analyst, technical writer, and high school teacher.

Completed last four semesters of school while working full-time.

Application includes addenda related to GPA and LSAT. Guess that's a bit much, but I believe that neither is representative of my ability to perform in law school.

I have applied to a good number of schools as I believe that most who actually read my PS and addenda will place a bit more weight on my professional and personal growth over the past ten years.

Pls feel free to comment or ask any questions you'd like.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, the cycle's over for me, unless Villanova accepts me with a near full ride. That's not gonna happen. I've added the chiashu percentage for each school, as that may be helpful for future applicants.

I should note that I'm VERY happy with my results. I did not expect to get into Temple, and the in-state tuition makes it difficult to chooses any of the other schools where I got $$.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good luck to all future applicants. If you're an older student, epscially one with a rough paper route that requires explanation on your application, please feel free to contact me.

Good luck man, I'm also an older (27) applicant who has been through a lot. Things are looking good though!

Good Luck on yr apps and stuff- though you won't need it. Old age and treachery overcome youthful optimism every time! ;)

Oldhat, it is a big part of who I am as a person. I actually have a few years under my belt. It has played a big part in my decision to attend LS, and I also think it's good to note so others in the same boat as I can notice. Besides, attorneys have one of the highest rates of addictive behaviors, so I guess I've already nipped it in the bud! ; - )

Good luck with all of your apps and congrats on Seton Hall...

Where to Practice?
Sunday, August 21 2005 at 08:00 PM

I applied to schools in areas where I'd be willing to practice. My school choice will be determined by financial viability as I'm unwilling to leave school with a huge amount of debt. We'll see.

Thanks!

That's right! I don't have a hope in hell at four of the schools listed above, but I felt like blowing a coupla my hard earned ducats at them - donation or not. Anyhoo, I do have an application that's a very interesting read, so I'll get in at one or two of my 1s or 2s above. I'll be happy with that.

sorry

about bc. you have many more acceptances to look forward to. (yeah, i know i ended that sentence with a prep. ;-i) good luck on your remaining apps. hey, i ended my temple ps with a request to be considered for the sp a.c.e. program. i hope it helps. the best thing about the app was they inquired about family members who were alumni. my cousin graduatrd from temple med. my dad is a deceased faculty member. he received two seperate doctorates from temple. nice, huh?

Congrats

Congrats on all of your acceptances so far. In the event that you take Hofstra's (or another school) offer, please withdraw your application from Rutgers and Seton Hall asap. Thanks. :)

Hey fellow waitlister.

Gratz, you bring me hope

Congrats on your updated acceptances. That is actually just what I needed to see to raise my spirits. Our index numbers are almost identical and I applied to 3 of the schools you posted acceptences to. Any thoughts about where you'll go?

Temple Visit

Likewise - First off, congrats on your very successful cycle thus far. Secondly, thanks for all the help with my personal statement. (I've gotten into some schools that I had less than 25% chance of attending - a testment to your excellent assistance on the ps.) Third, I attended a Temple tour and first year class last night, - pretty sweet. Finally, are you going to the admitted students day on March 25th?

Thanks so much. I'm very happy with results thusfar. Congrats on your own acceptances! The PS was good to begin with; the acceptances you've gotten were well-earned. I will definitely be there on March 25th for the admitted students day. I'm mailing my seat deposit today, in fact.

Didn't hurt at all...

I'm not certain that I was accepted under the SpACE program. It's likely that I was, given my numbers, which are at the bottom end of Temple's accepted group. Good luck with your app at Temple!

Glad to see that your experience is so limited that you don't get the reference. Try Googling the phrase. And thanks for the congratulations! I'm so happy that the best school I got into is nearly my cheapest option! Same for you? Jeez, sry...

Thanks for that show of integrity, too. Great to see you logged your username. Loser.

Hey, congrats on all your acceptances. I'm really hoping to get into Villanova or Temple (or both). I am an older applicant (28) who would like to shed light on my work experience over my gpa and wondering what advice you may have towards writing your personal statement.

not sure if you still check this
Tuesday, April 19 2005 at 08:00 PM

hey, saw your profile on LSN. wondering if you're going to Temple PT or FT. I am hoping to go in the fall of '07 at the same age as when you started. Have some questions either way but particularly if you're going PT (or Evening FT)
