Additional info & updates

3-26: Denver it is!!!! It feels great to have made the final decision... Other DU 0L's: introduce yourselves, if you'd like. Other than my partner and a few 50+ year olds(great people but not quite my 'demographic'), I know absolutely no one in Colorado... I'm anxious to start meeting people :)

3-25: Plain envelope via USMail from CU- I'm waitlisted.

3-14: Called Colorado (even though they ask that we don't) because I'm reaaalllly needing to know about my app. status. Girl I spoke w. said "Umm... It's with the admissions committee but they should be deciding soon. You'll probably get a letter next week." She sounded uncomfortable and seemed sketchy. I bet I've already been rejected and she didn't wanna tell me over the phone. Or, you know, I'm being paranoid and want this to be oooover already.

2-13: BOO to OSU. Only took 'em a week to send the letter. Just waiting on Colorado and then it'll be decision-making time. Fingers are still crossed for Colorado Law, as slim of a chance as it may be.

2-6: OSU went to 'Decision'... It should just say 'Rejection' (esp since i didn't get a phone call), but I'll wait for the letter in the mail to officially post 'rejected'. Eck. I should have w/drawn that one.

2-5: Case offered 9,000 scholly each year. Ehhhhh.

2-14: E-mail from Case saying I'm IN!! More info coming in the mail...

2-6: ONU asst. dean called and offered $25,000 a year

2-2: I'm in at ONU...

1-1: Denver offered $15,000 a year.

1-31: I'm in at Denver!!! It was my first letter (acceptance OR rejection), so I've been uber pumped all day. It's good to know that I'll be going *somewhere*, as goofy as it sounds. Anyway, I've had my heart set on CO, so Denver is def. a good thing. Fingers are still crossed for Boulder.

My #1 school is University of Colorado Boulder, but with my lukewarm numbers it will be a stretch... Hoping that soft factors will REALLY help me out.

I'm planning on going into Family Law... Hence Colorado

Getting anxious...
Thursday, October 25 2007 at 08:00 PM

I've received e-mails from OSU, ONU, Boulder, and Denver stating that all my materials are in and the revision process is starting. Most said 6-8 weeks (End of Feb/start of March), but I'm crossing my fingers that it will take less time. Still haven't submitted applications for CSU or Loyola. I REALLY need to get on the ball.... Also considering applying to a few more Ohio/PA/WV 'safe' schools. Never hurts, right?

The waiting is definitely the hardest part. Hope you get into Boulder, that would be cool. Maybe you could apply to Toledo, they seem to be bursting at the seams with scholarship money, which is not bad for a safety. May all your applications be accepted!

Yeah, I am anxiously awaiting word from Colorado also. My wife and I are going out to the admitted student weekend in two weeks so it will be a great opportunity to feel out the situation. I am really hoping to get in to Colorado. I have no idea which school I would choose, but I want the option of both. I am about 51% Colorado now and 49% Denver, but that could easily change with a visit. I hope you get it. Maybe I will see you around.

Also, I don't understand the family law part of you additional information. Why is Colorado the obvious choice for family law? I searched their site and it doesn't seem like they are heads and shoulders above other schools in this area.

Denver

Congrats on making the big decision! I am also leaning toward Denver and looking to pursue family law. I'm heading out there tomorrow for ASD so hopefully Ill come back with a more concrete decision!

Hey MissMeeba, I was in the same boat you were w/ CU and DU, but I'm psyched to be going to DU in the Fall. See you there!
