Wow you're right we are really similar. Hopefully both of us get into Florida, good luck this cycle!
You might want to consider applying there too, its in a pretty boring area (Ohio), but its a free application and its a relatively well ranked school.
Most likely. From what I understand, this is pretty much what most schools do. I just don't like the fact that I probably will not know definitively until late spring!
I received a post card in the mail. The admissions office had checked off the materials that they had received. and everything was checked off.
How did Pittsburgh notify you?
Thanks! Good luck to you.
Hey, thanks for the words of encouragement. Imma try not to stress and let the chips fall where they may. I LOVE ATLANTA! ive been there a lot in the past couple of years here, and I am looking into John Marshall. The only problem I have with the school, is that they don't really pass out any money at all. I was able to avoid loans completely for undergrad, I really want to limit them as much as possible for law school. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
I see you were accepted to Stetson today, too. Oh, and if you would like to email you I'd be happy to tell you what I know about Florida Coastal. I did quite a bit of research about the school. Congrats and good luck the rest of the cycle. I haven't heard squat from UF yet, but I'm still hopeful. I'm a splitter so I was told to expect the unexpected. Eek!
I just saw your question regarding FCSL. I would probably go to Stetson over FCSL however, if they have given you a large scholarship and you have an interest in living in Jacksonville it may be worth considering. I am originally from Jacksonville and have found that the school actually has pretty good placement within the city, I don't know about how well it does in other cities though. One interesting note - FCSL actually has a higher bar passage rate than every school in Florida except for UF...
In complete agreement w/mgkoefod. If you can handle macon, i'd choose mercer over fcsl as well.
How did Stetson notify you? At a permanent address or your current address (if you used two addresses that is)
Don't give up hope on them yet - you're within their range! And yeah UF is still pretty much my first choice - the wait is killing me!
did denver email u of your acceptance? what does your online status say??
Seattle U is a great school and the city of Seattle is beautiful. I have lived all over and no place compares to Seattle!! Congrats!
hey there! congrats on your acceptance to seattle u. i just got back from a 4 day trip to check out the law school and just to check out seattle in general. lets just same i'm in love with it. the law building is awesome, and the city is just out of this world. i hope i get in, but congrats to you again!
Go anywhere but Florida Coastal. It is a bad school (one of only a few for-profit law schools), and the grading curve might not allow you to keep your scholarship after the first year. Please do your research on it, as you have much better options.
Hey, I was wondering what your GSU status currently says and how long it's been that way?
Hey sorry if I was a little harsh earlier about Florida Coastal, but I have heard only bad things about it. I must admit I don't know much about Denver or Seattle, but both are ranked in the top 100 and would give you good opportunities in large metropolitain areas. At DU you would be competing with Colorado grads, but you would have the upper hand of actually being located in Denver (whereas CU is in Boulder). At Seattle, you would have to compete with Washington grads, but again you would be in the city and be able to make connections easily. Wherever the cycle takes you, best of luck in making a decision!
Hey. GSU is definitely my number one, unless I managed to get into UGA or Tulane (but they are a stretch). Of my choices now, Seattle is my top choice; however, money will certainly come into play for me, so South Carolina is by no means out as an option (I will also have a SO and my 16 year old cat to move. She, the cat, may be happier w/a shorter drive! But, I won't let that stop me if I really want to go to SU.) Seattle's ASD is still up in the air for me though. I'd really like to visit before deposits are due, and Seattle's isn't until late May. (Or I at least want to visit before USC's $500 deposit is due (5/1) if I don't hear from some one else by then)
Oh No! Sorry about GSU. I'm very nervous about them as well.
sorry to hear about GSU... i'm really nervous now since we have somewhat similar numbers... :( how did you find out? did your status checker change?
Have fun visiting Denver and Seattle. Let me know how Seattle goes. I'm going to wait for my financial aid packet before I make plans to go visit.
I'm in the same predicament, I can't chose which one would be better...but DU is ranked higher, what do you think?
Hey, my top 2 are Denver and Seattle as well. I just spent a weekend in Seattle and got a chance to visit the campus and check out the city. The campus is great and the law school building is absolutely amazing. I also talked to Seattle Law students. If you have any questions let me know.
i just visited stetson and it is a great campus and the class i sat in on makes the environment at stetson seems less cut-throat than most school
I hear you're going to Denver pretty soon...let me know how it is, please. I would love to get your views.
Hey, Please don't go to a law school named after a cologne :) I left some pro-Seattle comments on Pagal's profile that you should read. Let me know how the trip to DU goes. I wish I could just fast forward a month and know where I'm going.
How was Denver...did you go?
Hey there- hope the decision-making process isn't too stressful. Are you still leaning towards DU? How was your visit? I was unable to attend, but saw this school last summer and l-o-v-e-d it. Maybe I'll see you this fall. Let me know what your final decision is!! :)
How did your trip go? Are the new rankings going to affect your decision?
I noticed that you and I applied to several of the same schools. Good luck this cycle, you have a very good GPA and your LSAT certainly isn't bad! I'm sure you will get into a lot of those schools.
