=====================================
6/13 SMU
I received a voicemail from Albany on Friday evening saying that I've been accepted to the fulltime program and that a packet was in the mail. I called back today asking about scholarship information, etc. No scholarship...

5/05 Baylor
I actually withdrew my application and they still sent me a rejection letter. You couldn't pay me to go there after what the dean did during finals. What a pompous school.

5/04 SMU
Another waitlist...

5/1 Kent
They call it a deferal, but it smells like a WL.

4/26 Penn State & Tech
Accepted...sorta. I received an email saying that all the fulltime slots had been filled but that I could start the brand new part time program that is "virtually indistinguishable from our full-time program" and still finish in three years. More info to follow, I guess...
I also received my Tech acceptance letter today.

4/24 Tech & GMU
Finally accepted at Tech! I emailed Mrs. Williams to ask for information and she notified me of my acceptance. Snail to follow
Also received a postcard from GMU saying WL decisions will not be made before May 20th. I'm not holding my breath.

4/08 Boalt
Received the letter...similiar to Cornell's.

4/06 Cornell
The classiest rejection letter by far...it was rather lengthy and encouraged me to apply as a transfer next year.

4/05 Tulane
Received WL in the mail. The letter was very encouraging. May actually have a shot on this WL.

4/03 GWU and Tulane
I emailed Tulane and was informed of WL in the reply. GWU via letter.

4/01 Houston
Letter didn't sound to promising. To paraphrase: "if you have other plans, go for it."

3/28 Texas
The good times just keep on rolling.

3/27 Berkely
No surprises here. Called the admissions office...

3/23 Tech
Last LSAC report sent to Tech.

3/22 Tech
Finally heard from them after I sent an email:
"The request for your report will be made this week and we should start processing your application sometime next week. I apologize for the delay. We have only a two person staff in the Office of Admissions. Due to the large volume of mail we receive at the time of our deadline it takes us a little longer to process everything." Hope this helps others waiting.

3/13 Maryland - white, regular envelope. Dated 3/10
I'm not sure why, but I fully expected a rejection from Maryland. I hope some good news comes my way soon...

3/7 Miami- cream-colored, regular envelope dated 3/1
Ouch! This may be a product of my late application, but I expecected to be accepted at Miami. Two replies and two waitlists...I hope these aren't just soft rejections.

I'm also much less excited about the GMU waitlist. Considering the high percentage of WL-ers on LSN the chances of getting in are probably low.

3/2 George Mason - white, regular envelope dated 2/28
This is very promising considering how much of a "reach" GMU is with my LSAT. They commented on my "impressive academic achievements and professional accomplishments." I had a 5% chance based on Chiashu. Looking at last year's WL group, I have about a 50% chance now. This is a good start.

2/28
Status updated on Baylor's website for the summer. No change for fall status. ..mean I'm not an "auto-reject?"

2/27 Baylor
First rejection received for the Baylor summer semester. White, regular envelope, first class mail. Not terribly surprised given Baylor's reputation (very stringent with numbers, small class size) but disappointed nonetheless because it means I'm likely out for the fall semester as well. *My online status check still hasn't been updated and letter is in hand.

Good luck, man. There are so many cookie-cutter applicants who come straight out of college, limited experience, purely numbers... then there's people like you. I'm pulling for you. Good luck.

I got waitlisted at Miami too. I don't know about you but they are one of my top choices. Have you visited the school? Any advice on what to do about the WL?

thanks for your service

Have you heard anything from them as far as your LSAC report? Are you complete? That is a long time for them not to request anything. Good luck and thanks for your service to our country!

Congratulations

on smu. I rarely pry into peoples' business on this LSN thing, but am VERY curious bc it affects me in a direct way, do you plan to accept SMUs offer? I would if I were in your shoes, but I am curious to see if you will end up creating another opening by declining the offer. Regardless, best of luck to you in the future.
