I thought that maybe I could write a little on this side in order to not have to make people scroll down for days as I recount my application experience. Anyway, it is March 9th, and I have yet to here from 10 schools. I do have some definitely amazing prospects at this point, and I am in no way disappointed, but I would really like to have all of my cards in my hand before I have to "ante up" and lay out a fat non refundable deposit. I'm headed to visit some schools in DC in two weeks, and then if there is anyone else who is enticing enough, I think that I may try and visit them the weekend of April 6-7 or whatever. Who know? I just hope all of this works out and that I end up where I should be.

1/11 complete app messages are finally starting to come

1/16 I'm in at Baylor!! It came as an email and it is good to know finally that I will be going to law school. Now, if any more acceptance letters come, we'll get to see if there are any other possible options. Baylor offered a half tuition scholarship to sweeten the deal too...and that's SAH-WEET!

1/20 Big envelope from Baylor today. It feels great to be in somewhere.

1/24 It's really killing me to still have incomplete applications !!! This takes forever!

1/25 Big priority envelope from American!!!! Talk about awesome! Exclamation points everywhere!!!!

2/1 Thoughts for now: It is really curious that some schools have not notified me about complete applications, when all of them notified me of receipt of my application over a month ago. everything was sent at the same time, so they should have received it all. I also really wonder if I totally botched my PS, and that is the reason why everyone is waiting on making a decision about me. "His numbers aren't half bad," they'll say, "But he writes like an imbecile!"

2/1 It's never long after I gripe that I receive a response. Today, I received a nice phone call from Ms. Sullivan at Lewis and Clark, congratulating me on my admission to their school. Got a phone call from one of their law profs 2/15. It feels really good to have a school really want me to attend.

2/5 Today I received my admissions packet in the mail from Lewis & Clark. I also received an admissions packet in the mail today from Florida. I would have to say though, if you judged a school by what they send you in the mail, Florida does not impress me.

2/9 I'm griping again! I'd really love to see something in my mailbox when I get home...
2/14 Still nothing. This is really tough.

2/17 I received a big envelope from Temple today. That was really nice. They even had a scholarship offer in the envelope right away. I also received a small envelope from another school telling me that I am now in their deferred pile. We'll see what happens.

2/27 I'm hoping to visit a few campuses and use that to help me make some of my decisions. Unfortunately, there are far too many that still are on "pending" status. I really don't understand what the problem is. We're supposed to make deposits in about 45 days, but we still don't know if we're in or not.

2/28 Cathy Zupan from the admissions office at GMU gave me a call. I'm in!!! Wheeww!!! What a relief!

3/1 Just received an email from Dean Hernandez. I'm in at the Y!

3/5 I'm making arrangements to fly all over the country, and there just aren't enough weekends in March. It would really have been neat to hear from my top schools though, still not visible.

3/6 Nine apps still hidden! Let's get this over with! PLEASE!!!

3/7 In at Hastings, via the online status checker. 3/13 I got the official letter in the mail today, with a nice personal note from the dean.

3/12 Acceptance letter today in the mail from ASU. It had a really nice note from their dean too.

3/13 I just got put on the waitlist at GW. This would definitely be a dream, so we'll see how this goes.

3/14 I noticed that a numbers twin got into Beantown. Would that be awesome or what?

3/16 Well, I spoke too soon. I received a thin white envelope from BC today. Rejected. I did also get a big manila envelop from Colorado today too. The last schools that I would like to hear from are BU, GW, WUST, but I think that I need to probably prepare for the worst.

3/29 At this point I feel pretty hopeless about receiving any more acceptance letters. I just get an occasional "waitlist" notice, but I find it hard to think that anyone is going to take a chance on accepting me for the moment.
