1/15/07 - Waitlisted at BC via snail mail sent to permanent address. My mom told me over the phone. Gee thanks.

2/05/07 - Alright!!! Although I was kind of counting on this one, it still feels good to be feel wanted! Acceptance came via email. After having 2 rejections and 2 waitlists, I was starting to re-think my application and second guess everything I've done. This feels good, though.

02/05/07 - Kind of a step back in to reality when I checked my mail today; deferred by my #3, WUSTL. Damn. Keeping my finger crossed for UNC, although I know I have no chance being out-of-state with avg. numbers.

02/08/07 - Is it weird that the most exciting part of the day is the 2 seconds it takes to open my mail box during my lunch break? COME ON UNC, I'm dying over here!!! Finally got UGA to fix their online status checker for me. Apparently they've had my birthdate entered incorrectly for the last 3 months. Uggh.

02/09/07 - Sweet!! Another acceptance, this one from USD. I don't know much about the school or job prospects afterwards, but my girlfriend really wants to live in San Diego. Anyone have any thoughts??? Came in a big white envelope.

02/13/07 - Online status at Iowa changed to "Admission Decision: In Progress." Has anyone else had this? How much longer is the wait? Thanks.

02/16/07 - I'm so sick and tired of waiting . . . HURRY UP ALREADY!!!

02/23/07 - It's been over 2 weeks and still no word from any schools. The only three I really care about any more are UNC, UGA, and Emory. Thinking about pulling out of Florida. I hate this wait . . . so depressing :( I promise I'll be a good student if you just give me a chance!

02/24/07 - Okay, nevermind, slow down, Law Schools. Take your time and make a wise decision. Dinged by USC today via snail mail. Letter dated 2/19. Expected.

03/06/07 - Waitlisted at Colorado? Gimme a fuckin break. Withdrew immediately. Haven't had good news in a while. Still anxiously awaiting Emory and UNC. Come on guys!!

03/07/07 - Crushed by UGA via online status checker. Fuck those guys anyway. Who wants to go to a school whose state can't get out of the past and screams "We Still Support Slavery" with every wave of their flag.

03/07/07 - Just officially withdrew from UF. I feel pretty good about this, and that IU is a better school. Please, if anyone can offer support for this theory, it would be much obliged. I'm feeling pretty down about my cycle right now.

03/17/07 - Dinged by UCLA via thin envelope. Letter dated 3/9/07. Sent a supplemental essay to UNC; topic of Why UNC. Hopefully it will turn some heads.

03/26/07 - Deferred by Wake via very nice email. Said I would hear by April 23.

04/02/07 - Dinged by Wash U via small envelope sent to permanent address. I fucking hate law school already, and I haven't even started.

4/13/07 - Went to Bloomington and, although it wasn't planned, signed a lease on sweet apartment across from the law school. It just felt right. Looks like I'm a Hoosier.

USD is an awesome school, but it is 33,000 + a year and ranked 65. Not quite the bang for your buck. It is gorgeous out there though. If you have the money or they offer you money then go for it. Congrats on all of your acceptances! Bloomington is an awesome school. I should be finding out a decision from them in the next few weeks. Good luck with the other awesome schools you were deferred and waitlisted on! : )

Thanks for the info! I will be in Panama City for spring break.. so I plan on heading over to gainesville and tallahassee to check the schools out... I won't make it to Miami... I'll be lucky if I can force myself to leave for a day to check out the other two...

I never gained access to the online checker. The site they gave me never worked. I tried to have them correct it; however, they were not helpful at all.
