much better than LSP told me i would do. i honestly believe this is due to my extracurriculars and career goals, which i will update once my decision is finalized.

Additional info & updates

i only applied to schools whose programs i liked and where i could see myself going.

3 - would like to go!
2 - would really like to go!
1 - would absolutely love to go!

03/16 - finally under review at daivs...

03/22 - decision letter mailed from santa clara via status check. visited hastings and really liked it, especially since they got rid of their only 10% get A's curve.

03/26 - got back from spring break to find santa clara and lewis & clark acceptances waiting for me in the mail! emery merit scholarship from scu of $17,000 (renewable if in top 25%) and a letter from l&c saying my app will be reviewed again in april to award scholarship funds once they free up as people withdraw their acceptances. the l&c status check never changed from application complete.

03/30 - rejected from wustl via e-mail. status check never changed from application complete.

04/12 - in at temple via status check.

04/14 - rejected from hastings via snail mail.

04/16 - acceptance letter from temple. $45,000 over 3 years provided a 2.5 gpa. better chance of renewal for this one than santa clara.

04/27 - e-mail from USF letting me know i qualify for admission and asking if i am still interested. a scholarship could make a huge difference, so said yes. rejected from BC via snail mail.

04/29 - e-mail from emory removing me from their waitlist. that's what i get for never sending in a LOCI. i really hope this all starts to wrap up soon!

04/30 - rejected from columbia via snail mail. no surprise there. waiting on (hopefully) good news from davis or colorado. those two have trump power over my acceptances thus far. i love each of their programs, and their costs aren't too bad, even w/o scholarships (which i am not expecting).

05/10 - in at colorado!!! got an e-mail informing me my acceptance packet was sent today.

05/17 - rejected from vanderbilt via snail mail. seriously davis, what is up? will be visiting boulder in a couple weeks. very excited about that!

05/19 - finally heard from everyone! as you may have noticed, i have removed the schools where i have been waitlisted from my list.

06/15 - got a call from maryland asking if i was still interested in attending their school. unfortunately i then lost service, and had to call them the next day from mexico to let them know i was. i was told my admission letter should be sent within the next few days.

thanks for your comment! I decided to write an addendum because I felt that the strongest point of my application was my GPA (this was before I knew about the LSDAS GPA discrepancy). So when I found out about the drop, i felt that I should explain it with the hope that adcoms would look at the higher GPA as a better representation of me as a student. It really made me angry that a high school course followed me that far, but i guess that's the way it goes. I wish you the best of luck in admissions!

Thank you!

Thanks, you have no idea how much I appreciate your comment. It's really refreshing to know there are some people on here who get that sometimes you just need to do what will make you happy. I guess for some people not having debt and always having a lot of money will make them happy, but I really don't mind being on a strict budget for three years if it means I can go to the best school for me. Seattle really was the best option - not extraordinarily pricey relative to other schools, and still ranked which given my LSAT I was happy to have been accepted to so many Top 100 schools (bottom of the top 100, but still, happy none-the-less!) Are you leaning towards a particular school at this point?

Ah, well, who knows. Your numbers are a bit better than mine so maybe you'll have better luck!

Thanks! I hope you get good news from the rest of your schools too!

Thanks! Any idea where you are going yet?

Well, good luck with your decision, sounds like a tough one! I also seriously considered Santa Clara. I recommend going into downtown when you go see Lewis and Clark. Portland really blew me away and made my decision easy!

Thanks!

Thanks for the well wishes! We'll see. If hastings doesn't bite, there's the good possibility Davis or maybe W&M do... By the time this is over, it will be a LONG cycle.

Hi don't know if you still look here but we are numbers twins and I REALLY want to go to boulder.. did you write an addendum for your grades? or have anything outstanding that you think really gave you a push?
