A fellow Oregon student just cheering you on - very similar numbers (but straight from undergrad). Why not Stanford?

You get any scholarship money from UW? I wonder if they give out full rides to our range, or if its more competitive.

No money from UW?!?! You must be in the top 1 percetile of acceptees w/ your numbers. WTF? Screw em. Go to NYU or stay in Portland, drink some Stumptown and ride your bike. Can't lose either way.

LOL - yup, I was surprised I wasn't sent a ding letter with a big Duck eating a Beaver!! :P

uw = wack $

as far as money, uw has a onerous ass application process for public interest gates scholarship, way more work than the root tilden kern at nyu, so I said fuck it. but in my opinion there's not a lot of reason to pick uw over nyu if you feel like getting in debt or full ride at lc if you don't. You'd think with nyu turning around our apps in a month the others could hurry it up. good luck everywhere man, glad to see I'm not the only pnw lib. arts pol/phil major going to law school.

They take me

yeah.... I'm not holding out much hope for columbia and didn't want to go to berkeley anyhow. but. after visiting NYU I am gonna put in my deposit later this week. I talked to a woman who graduated from UW law and she told me if the choice was between nyu or uw, without question she thought I should take nyu. Not thrilled with the debt even with a very strong LRAP (though you can't save more than 20grand for the ten years out of law school-- I am pretty set on public interest and got no root tilden kern love so I'll be dependent on it), but I think it will make a big difference in career options... Is it just the money issue keeping you in the northwest?

I'm hoping...

....that you get accepted at Harvard and subsequently decide to attend.

Done deal

I'm pretty much locked into HLS. Already sent in my deposit. I actually called Stanford Friday because I know some people started hearing. They STILL hadn't made a decision on my app. Regardless of what happens, I'm interested to see where you end up. But like I said, I'm pulling for you.

I'd really

get a kick out of it if Harvard complicated your life just a little. Here's hoping that they do.

Go L & C! How did you like it? I wish I could get some of that $$ but I suppose I would have to break a 3.0 :) I really liked the school there... how about you? I am going to have my grandma teach me to Golf this summer to fit in with the law crowd.

Decision?

Congrats on your acceptances! Just curious if you have made a decision yet. Maybe I'll see you at UW in the fall if that's where you end up. Good lucke with your decision!
