I've heard schools are willing to forgive a poor performance freshman year as long as it does not reoccur. In such cases, they generally place more emphasis on what you did the latter half of college. My grade trend was 2.01, 3.15, 3.34 and 3.64.
is not that stellar. There is not a stark difference. Though I had one 4.0 semester my senior year. Lots of C's and A's. I never planned on grad school, so was not really at all concerned w/ grades. We'll see how the law schools like that. But I am going to retake the LSAT for a boost.
I had a spectacular first year and a half then a big plunge my second and third year. Ended with an amazing final year that, luckily, brought me up to a 3.0. Needless to say I will be writing a strong addendum.
cheers to being intelligent but much more interested in getting laid and going out than getting good grades ha
Looks like we are applying to the a lot of the same schools. Wish my LSAT was yours, but such is life. Had a rough first year as well. Will definitely check back to see your progress. Good Luck!
Thanks for the feedback. So they have a 'one size fits all' approach, as it were, to the LSAT? I've heard similar re Kaplan & Princeton Review. Good luck & congrats on your graduation this winter!
How much total study time did you devote to the Test?
Couldn't agree more... take the test under simulated conditions, absolutely! (Just bought a stopwatch at Radio Shack, not sure I'll be able to use it though on test day, w/the new rules & all...;-) If you had to prep for the test again (heaven forbid!) would you go through class instruction , or just buy the book? I'm thinking about the various strains on my budget this fall, oy vay!
Hey sirisaacnewton, What did you say in your email to get fee waivers? I am trying to get the most bang for my buck and would love to see what you wrote in your email to ask for fee waivers. Anyway, good luck to you. I am applying to about 1/2 of the same schools as you. Take care!

You definitely reaped the benefits of the small class size, When (after how many practice tests approx.) did you see the first elevation in your score? Congrats on the fee waivers, as well! How were you able to 'run the table'?
As for the fee waivers, I am just plain poor so I qualify for the fee waivers. Alot of the schools accept the LSAC fee waiver, which I have. As for the tests, I actually plotted my progress on a nice excell spread sheet. I could email it to you if you'd like. I was all over. It took 4 or 5 for me to get a 167, then a 169, then I was all over.
Yeah, definitely send me your spreadsheet (I'd love to see how you tracked your progress & I knew you meant excel...;-) How did you get the LSAC fee waiver?
Sure sounds like it was worth it--did the LSAC ask for any official docs i.e. 1040s etc (to corroborate your request)?
Has Gonzaga requested your lsac report yet? Do you have any idea how long it will take them to get going?
Seems we've both made some progress and have the apps out, it's excruciating isn't it? I swear i look at my email and this website once every 5 minutes hoping something's changed
Good luck on Michigan! We have similar numbers and I hope you get into everywhere you want! Im thinkin about puttin the app into Duke, but Im not sure yet
Fellow splitter, the light at the end of the tunnel is there. I figured the same, not only am I a splitter, but I got an underage drinking ticket when i was a sophomore, so i had to admit that as well, but I heard from a real school this week, so there is hope. You'll be fine
Ya it feels good, but i'm sure we'll still have to wait longer than normal poeple with our lsat's
congrats on IIT
I have gotten a couple of calls from them to verify some info. But that is about it. Who are you?
and scholarships! Well done! Any last minute advice you can dispense (the test is looming in Feb... eeek!)
How did MSU notify you? Congrats!
Congrats on Minnesota! Are you going to the ASW this month?
Yo, Minnesota? That's sick. Congrats man. Gotta love the kids with shit GPA's getting into top 25 schools.
Best of luck to ya!
