I revised my list. Not as many now :) Thanks for the good luck. Same to you! Are you ED at any schools?
Best of luck to you too! I think you probably have an edge on my stats but I'll be interested to see what happens in your cycle and mine.
I'm excited and incredibly thankful. Good luck again! I'm jealous of your 167, it'll take you far! :)
My numbers are fudged too... so maybe ours aren't as close as we think they are! Good luck to you as well -- we are applying to so many of the same places.
We are number twins and applying to a lot of the same schools. Best of luck!
You're having quite the day today! Congrats on Vandy and UMN.
On Vandy!!
...for vandy? Similar numbers (although my paranoia>yours, as I don't list mine)
yesterday, but it ended up getting canceled. Hopefully it will be done by next week, because it's what is holding up my app at this point. best of luck with the rest of your cycle!
Haha, thank you I seem to have gotten lucky so I am definitely appreciative of that. But your numbers are very similar to mine so I bet you will get into GULC and Michigan also. A scholarship/acceptance from Minnesota this early on is really impressive - you must have done something right!
Hey, Congrats on Vanderbilt! I was wondering how you found out from them? I've heard a couple of different reports.
Congrats on Vanderbilt and Minnesota. I'll be keeping up with you. Best of luck.
And congrats to you as well... I just found out that I went to decision at UMich so I'm just praying for some more good news on Friday or Saturday. Out of curiosity, do you mean that you fudged your LSAT/GPA so that law schools can't identify you? I never thought of that.
I'm really excited! And congrats on your acceptances so far! Good luck! :-)
Did you receive a phone call from Minnesota? Or did your status change to "Decision Letter Sent" and you found out through the mail?
Thanks for your note on BU. I'm glad your interview with the Georgetown alumnus went well (I also have to have one). I'm sure you'll have a great cycle (you certainly applied to enough schools), and congratulations on the acceptances you've already received.
for the congrats. Your's should be coming soon too number twin!
No worries, I didn't change it because I didn't like your comment; I thought you made a good point. When I started applying, I told myself that my biggest requirement was that the school not be in a state where it's freezing 3/4 of the school year, so I'm still hoping that California schools go well for me, but I don't have very high hopes. Right now I'm basically taking what I can get! Glad the cycle seems to be going so well for you!
Congrats!! I called the admissions office today and they told me that the stuff under the decision status does indicate an acceptance! Also, thanks for your support. I highly doubt I will do that well. I am definitely projecting some rejections and added a few more schools to the applying list. We'll see how it all goes. But. Congrats on Cornell :) as well as your other acceptances.
And congrats to you too! What are you thinking about Vandy as of now?
Clearly I couldn't hold out for all that long. Good luck on Georgetown. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!
...Congrats on Cornell btw! That's awesome :) I'm hoping to be in at Vandy. I had my interview last Wed. so I'm thinking they should be sending out my decision soon. Who knows! Are you going to any of the ASWs?
I'll go to GULC, Vandy (if I get in), Northwestern (if I get in and that's a huge if), and either BC or BU if I get in. No Georgetown for you?
And yyyyyyyyaaaaaayyyyyyy for Georgetown! Congrats :) You are killing it this cycle!
Congrats on hitting some T14. You say your numbers are fudged. Are they fudged up or down? You don't need to be explicit. Maybe private message me if you'd rather not say? Thanks.
Congrats on Georgetown; I'm glad the interview paid off (my interviewer has yet to contact me)... and nice Clueless reference.
Congrats on Georgetown...I had my alum interview on the same day as yours, so I'm crossing my fingers...
God that made me smile.
congrats :).
Because I want to fit in... Congrats on all of your acceptances thus far. We are slightly fudged numbers twins (I also slightly tweaked mine). Good luck on the rest of your cycle, you are definitely off to a good start!
Congrats on all your acceptances so far! Good luck with the rest of your cycle!
haha thanks, id wish you luck but after cornell and georgetown im sure youll be fine wherever you end up. i dreamed of cornell before the lsat. ...as for the handle, its important to be all professional and whatever but, ya know what, youve also gotta keep it real and e yourself (i think). gl at upenn, its an AWESOME place
I'm so in love with all of our matching acceptances right now! What the heck are we going to do? I'm coming to Boston on Dec.26 and coming home on Dec.29. I'm definitely going to drive around BC and BU's campuses while I'm there. Good luck with the rest of your "pending" places as well. You better keep me posted as well! Maybe we'll run into each other at one of these ASWs. Have you thought anymore about which ones you're going to?
You have me concerned that I did not receive BU sticky notes in my acceptance packet. I mean, I have shopping lists too!
That is so sweet! Thanks, best of luck for you too.
I feel like you get into a new school every day. Your cycle is going so well so far (and I'm glad to see it). My GTown interviewer finally decided to contact me, and I have my interview coming up. Any tips? Thanks!
Congrats on everything but most of all...congrats on Northwestern!!! That is by far a dream school for me and I am anxiously waiting to hear. I'm so happy you got in!!!
i appreciate your kind comments. :) i hope i do get some surprises. i applied to a LOT of places, so i'm hoping that someone will let me in.. but it's a weird situation. some of the schools would be way cool to get into, but i'm really happy with the idea of going to boston, as well. your cycle is awesome.. good luck on the rest of it. i hope to be hearing back from my november applications soon, even if those aren't the exciting places i applied to. i'm adding you to my watch list =)
Way to score the Northwestern acceptance- what a huge accomplishment! What can I say? You're a baller.
You must be fudging your numbers down a little bit, right?
:) Yeah, you would think since I paid for their app fee and wasted my time they could spend a postage stamp being nice to me....ah well. Awesome job on all your acceptances...how will you ever decide?? Good luck!
So, I went to Boston but I was so busy with the wedding I was going to, etc. that I didn't even get a chance to check out BU or BC. Ya, I know...totally lame! I am going to go to BU's ASD in April and check out BC while I'm there I think. I have a feeling that even though BC looks nicer, I will be more a fan of BU's location. Plus, they threw some money at me (I notice they did for you too). Any more thought on where you're visiting for ASW's or narrowing down your choices? I'm anxiously awaiting an answer from NU although I have a feeling it will be bad news... Keep me posted :)
Thanks man! Congrats on your acceptances. I just realized however that because I was a transfer student my cumulative GPA is going to be used, not my several decimal points higher degree granting institution GPA. Now I'm freaked! With a 3.43 instead of a 3.66 the game is totally changed!
Yeah, the full-ride is definitely something to ponder. Congrats on all of your acceptances thus far. You have a nice list going!
good luck with Berkeley.. what's your top choice right now?
uh, this is sort of random, but i think we know each other, based on your username. anyway, shoot me an e-mail.
So, I wanted to ask.. Did BU send you a 'complete' email? I find a few schools say they will, but do not. Did BC send you anything after they received your file? I haven't gotten any word from BC even though they requested my LSDAS report over two weeks ago. Did you get a complete email from USC or any sort of word from UCLA? Did you have to contact any of the schools you applied to? One annoying thing about applying this time in the cycle is how LONG everything takes. Good luck with the rest of your cycle.. I'm still looking closely at Boston though I'm not sure if I want BU or BC more. Ack. Berkeley or NYU are the only T-14 schools that seriously threaten my desire to be in Boston. BTW Sorry for SO many questions.. just going a bit stir crazy waiting on certain schools to even let me know they're aware of my existence.
I'm under review at Berkeley now.. I want to go there SO BADLY. You're lucky you went to committee review instead of outright rejection/WL.. they are interested in you. 1/8 chance is better than the 1/12 we are faced with in the original applicant pool, right? good luck.. I'm rooting for you with all of your remaining decisions!
and same to you! i had some comments but then i freaked out that adcomms could find me and took them off (they had stuff ab my interests)... im paranoid i guess! you have some great choices... where are you leaning?
I love groundhog's day! best movie ever!
I appreciate the kind words, and congratulations back at you for all of your awesome acceptances! If I may ask, why did you decide to "fudge" your numbers? Is it bad if people can figure out who you are?
what other schools on my list would really have to stop and think about 10k at BU? either way, I know if I were switched with someone hoping to get in, I'd be grateful that they withdrew.
what do the 'index' numbers mean?
But Northwestern is looking pretty zexy, eh?
lol This has been a crazy ride, and I love it. I'm just glad to know my LSAT didn't hold me back from getting into a T10 school. I knew I wouldn't get into NU (no work experience) or GULC (they're LSAT whores, and I applied early but not ED) though. Congrats on your awesome cycle! Way to properly represent the sub-170 scores. If I were you, I'd go to NU or Cornell, unless you get into one of the big 3 you're still waiting on.
Sorry about Berkeley.. You have LOTS of great options, of course, but that cut me deep and I can sympathize. Good luck with Duke! They've been holding onto you FOREVER.
You have some great options too (and I wish BU would send some more $$ my way!). Sorry about Berkeley-- they've been very cruel. Maybe I'll see you at NU in the fall, though!
wow, sorry it took me so long to respond... I wish they would notify you when you got a comment! I'm really torn right now... I love Berkeley but I'm really overwhelmed at the prospect at being in a huge amount of debt... I also have no aspirations to do big law, so I'm not so concerned about ranking and scholarship offers are tempting... :)
any chance you might be at GW in the fall? looks like that may be where I end up. :D
when did you find out about the wash u scholarship money in relation to finding out you were accepted? i want it, i want it! hahaha. and 'grats on vanderbilt :) your cycle rocks. and i'm pretty psyched up about mine too.
How do you not know Bright Eyes? Geesh. Towards which school are you leaning?
Waaf, Your "diary" has been very insightful. Congratualations on your many acceptances. From scanning your comments, I see you applied last year and this year. Did you re-take the LSATs or do anything specific over that time? Also, how much of a help do you think it was to apply early in the cycle?
I am only waiting on 2 more schools (plus the H-bomb hail mary.. hahaha) looks like GW for me, on the cheap. Go to Northwestern! You can't pass that up. Or, you know, don't.. but good luck either way. I've enjoyed keeping in touch with you very much :DDD
Hey man, don't go to GULC. You can (and have) done better! I doubt I'm even considering NU anymore (a "hold" that still hasn't paid dividends) but I'm sure you will love it! Enjoy Chicago!
dropped from 20 to 28?! why, GW, why?! oh well. too late now for the other schools.. that deposit deadline started to feel way too soon. yikes.
Congrats on depositing at Northwestern. You're right, the waitlists really do keep it from being a huge relief. At least for me, I prefer NYU and Columbia to Penn, so I'm kinda depositing at a lesser choice, which is a little depressing. Thanks for the comment. I also like to read the pages of people who leave fairly detailed blogs. Nice to know its appreciated.
ahh! congrats on your decision. i think it will be a good fit for you. have a great summer :)
congrats on NW!
for the well wishes! also just sent you a message :) See you in the fall!
Thanks for the tip on removing my choice numbers - I appreciate it.
