Additional info & updates

02/03- Took the Dec. LSAT, so applied to schools a little late. Haven't heard back from any schools yet. Wisconsin app. went into review 1/28, Illinois into review 1/31 and Santa Clara went "In Committee" 2/1. Anybody got an idea of how long it should take to hear back, I'm so anxious!

02/04- W/L at Illinois. One of my top choices, one of my reach schools. Happy not to be automatically denied, concerned that many waitlists will follow. Anybody have any insight/hope as to being put on the waitlist and then being accepted?

2/07- "Under Review" at Southwestern, will take approx. 8-12 weeks to hear a decision they say. "Under Review" at Cardozo! Anyone know how long they usually take to hear back from?

- SCU still "In Committee" as of 2/01, heard via TLS forum that after i have a 2nd IC update, my decision should follow within two weeks of that.

02/10- Looks like I'm joining waitlist city! What I predicted, waitlisted at UW Madison as of this morning.

02/14- Rejected at Fordham.

02/15- "In Review" at Chapman

02/18- Received George Mason wait list offer via snail mail

03/02- and the Waitlists keep on comin'! W/Led at Hastings via e-mail

03/04- Received packet from Chapman in the mail today, $4146 for first year, renewable upon maintenance of GPA 3.0 or higher.

3/09- Loyola status checker said "decision was made March 9th, 2011" since I live in LA I better get it tomorrow! Otherwise I will be freaking out for the next 48 hrs! Hopefully I get in. If I am admitted here, things are looking good for USD and SCU. Will be keeping my fingers crossed for sure on this one.

3/11- My cycle is turning into a nightmare. Just got my 5th waitlist notification from Loyola.

3/17- Admitted to Southwestern via status checker

3/25- After a week of no news at all, I got an e-mail from SW in my inbox today. $26,500 renewable scholarship w/2.5 GPA. That's half-tuition. SCALE program sounds awesome and I'm really excited!

3/28- Wrote special public interest essay for Northeastern, to no avail. Will be withdrawing soon. I'm a little bitter about this one I must admit, I thought that my kind of background was exactly what they wanted.

4/05- Best news ever!!!! ACCEPTED AT INDIANA-BLOOMINGTON! via e-mail. Packet in the mail. Will be visiting soon!

4/08- Waitlisted at San Diego, accepted at Bloomington. HA!

4/12- WLed at Cardozo. No surprise here.

5/03- Accepted off of the waitlist at Illinois, my dream school. This will conclude my cycle. It's been one hell of a ride! If you need any advice/have any questions, just ask!

I'm willing to bet that you'll find out Friday! My status checker said they rendered a decision on Monday, 3/7 and i got the packet today, the letter itself is dated 3/8. I'm sure you'll have good news soon! :)

Good advice...

...and I am crossing my fingers on Santa Clara! I was actually thinking about calling some schools over the next week or so. After hearing absolutely NOTHING for the past few weeks, I've finally started getting some feedback...thankfully! I'll somehow figure out how to channel the acceptance gods and tell them to put in a good word for us with the admissions committees!! (If only that would work...haha)

Thanks! :)

I'm planning on doing the day, they keep sending me SCALE invitation emails though lol. I think the 2 year program would just be a lot of unnecessary added stress plus hopefully the extra year will allow the economy to recover even more! Haha are you planning on SCALE?

Don't lose hope!

I'm sure you have a lot of good news ahead of you. Don't let waitlists discourage you girl! Just channel "JOURNEY," and "don't stop believing!!!"

Congrats!

I'm also disappointed with my wait-list status at Northeastern... But oh well if it wasn't meant to be than so be it! Congrats on the scholarship to SW!!

Congrats on Bloomington and the nice little scholarship money too... Unfortunately I think I will have to shoulder full sticker price to attend. But hey, can't complain getting into a T-25. I totally empathize with the waitlists, I am at 8 and counting. 'Tis the plight of a reverse splitter I am afraid.

I have not visited yet but I hear the campus is gorgeous and the town is very charming. I am going to make a preliminary visit in late May to survey the area and get a feel for the college. And I did decide to matriculate so I will be joining the class of 2014! Already started using the stationary lol
