Additional Information
8/07: Studying for Sept. LSAT; will work on aps as time allows. Aiming for late-Oct filings.
9/25/07: LSAC dropped my UGPA from 3.0 to 2.85. Just to make things more interesting.
10/19/07: Received Sept. LSAT. Did not break 165 (minimum goal) so retaking. I stupidly misbubbled in three places.
11/10/07: Solidified list to twelve. Three weeks until Dec. LSAT.
12/01/07: Retook LSAT.
12/19/07: Ha ha ha, LSAT was the same as Sept. Going to try one more time in June.
3/25/08: Reordered all my PTs. Cracked open the Bibles once again.
7/3/08: June LSAT - 165. I'll take it! I guess I actually needed those glasses after all.
8/29/08: PS, DS, resume and addenda almost complete. Aiming for aps to be in by Sept. 30.
10/9/08: I was a little late getting out aps, but they're now beginning to trickle out. Hope to send out the final ones next week. Wondering if I should add a few more T20-40s.
11/11/08: Now complete at the first twelve schools to which I've applied. I'll probably put in six or so more when payday arrives (the pain of being relatively fee-waiver free.) Let the waiting begin.
12/01/08: Went to Decision on the GULC status checker on 11/28. No news as to what that yet means.
1/5/09: Haven't updated in a while, but I'm 2 for 4, still waiting on 13. Both Berkeley and Cornell have deferred me, the former for "faculty review", the latter, for consideration with the full applicant pool. Heard today from Minneapolis with scholarship information.
1/20/09: My mail finally caught up with me for the first time in weeks. Two surprise acceptances, one rejection. I'll take it.
5/22/09: I never really paid much attention after January - sorry about that. I've decided to, shockingly to many, go to Minnesota. I didn't get into my top picks, and friends have always wisely told me to go to the school from where you'd be happy graduating. If fate turns my way, I may have the opportunity to transfer to my favored schools next year - if not, I know I'll be happy in Minneapolis. Plus, there are only so many schools whose anthropology department I respect as much as their law program.
6/22/09: Well, it's just a month after my last update, and I'm now in Ithaca, NY. There was a mix-up, and I never received my financial aid package until I was asked if I was withdrawing on June 1. After I obtained a copy, I visited two days later, deposited the next day, and moved my family from Minneapolis to Ithaca a week later. I loved Minnesota, but between the financial aid and Cornell's reputation and faculty, I think I made the right choice.

I get that ALL the time. I wonder why.
But I changed my avatar to two little Abenaki girls (versus the previous Abenaki couple) - maybe that'll help in the future.

I'm Catawba (a really small, but federally recognized tribe) and Oneida. Good luck this cycle!
Hey, J Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007 at 6:57 pm
I know of the Catawba - sorry to hear about the SCOTUS rejecting your case yesterday. Bad form.
Are you NY Oneida? My grandmother was Stockbridge-Mohican.

Yup, I'm taking in October. It looks like we are applying to some of the same schools. Good luck during your cycle!

Harrassment Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008 at 1:06 pm
I've reported your harrassing behavior to the LSN ethics committee. I imagine that their actions will be swift and brutal. ;)
Thanks! Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008 at 2:51 pm
I appreciate your comment. I've been studying my posterior off for a while so hopefully it pays off. NDNs huh... LOL... I was trying to figure out the acronym for a second then realized what you were saying.

Just wanted to say good luck! :D
Thanks... Monday, October 6th, 2008 at 4:42 pm
Yeah I know that my soft factors will help, but I'm a slight perfectionist. I am going to work my tail off between now and December in order to increase my speed. I talked my decision over with several LSAT instructors and it was unanimous that I should wait for the December test. What can I say, the Air Force rubbed off on me... AIM HIGH!
Yo Thursday, October 9th, 2008 at 11:46 pm
If you're late getting apps out, I dunno what that makes me.
Still haven't finished apps.
Not done with all the app pieces.
Time to push the panic button?

What?? Friday, October 17th, 2008 at 1:26 pm
No COLUMBIA?!?!
hehe...jk...sort of...
so, are you deferring until fall 20*10* or are you starting this fall? if you are planning to defer anyway, any reason you are not waiting to apply next year? a lot of financial aid merit awards are not defer-able.

Deferred last year... Friday, October 17th, 2008 at 9:42 pm
This year, I'm good to go, whether they want me or not ;).
I've angsted over Columbia, but I have so many reaches as it is, I don't know if it's justifiable to throw more apps at schools unlikely to accept me. If only I'd received more fee waivers :/.
(hope you're enjoying Harlem - I was so happy for how your cycle turned out.)

Congrats on Cornell--that's a great JD at a great price.
Would you be kind enough to tell me how you heard from Stanford about the WL, rejection? I'm on the waitlist and am dying for any info to help keep the hope alive.
Thanks

Hey, Stanford WL? Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009 at 1:04 am
I second the above statement... your the first one who has posted a WL response from Stanford... very curious how you heard...
I only assume it's a rejection Sunday, June 28th, 2009 at 8:11 am
I just wanted to clean up my LSN, and we all know I'm going to be rejected in the long run, so I just put it in. No, I didn't hear anything official, so don't sweat it. ;)
