-wrote Why Duke, Michigan, and Penn and extra Mich essay, but no DS
1/5- TS1 call
1/7- TS2!!! completely shocked (but in a good way)
1/26- in at Columbia!!
1/27- starting to think about withdrawing to free up some spots, but not exactly sure what schools I'm holding onto (for now)
3/2- woodruff nomination from Emory, parents advised me to "take the money and run!"... except that i already withdrew, which is awkward.
Some awards (HLS and probably CLS) are need-based.

good luck on your cycle. our numbers and schools are pretty similar, so i'll probably keep an eye on your profile to see when you start getting those notifications. when do you think you'll submit your apps?
apps Friday, September 19th, 2008 at 8:36 pm
recs are in, resume is set, paperwork is filled out; i just haven't been able to find the time to knock out the essays. i have a really rough draft of my ps that i'm not too crazy about, but i haven't even so much as looked at the school-specific essays. i'm hoping submit by october 1st, but i dont know. i def hear you on being antsy. i can't wait to just have these things submitted -- out of sight, out of mind haha.
Congrats Monday, October 20th, 2008 at 7:14 pm

UT Saturday, November 1st, 2008 at 11:29 pm
Thanks, Elle! You have a bunch of acceptances already under your belt! Maybe we'll both get lucrative offers from UT! How could would that be?
Sunday, November 2nd, 2008 at 1:42 am
UT is definitely my top choice for matters of location/cost v quality/etc, but I also really like the sound of Duke and I'm going to have really weigh my options.

congrats on Duke! priority track is awesome.
UT Sunday, November 2nd, 2008 at 9:36 pm
Yeah, it was really nice and she came across very nicely, as well. We only spoke for 40 seconds, but it is definitely a lot more meaningful than a packet in the mail.
congrats Tuesday, November 4th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
congrats on the early acceptance to 3 big time schools. We have fairly similar numbers (mine slightly lower), and I was accepted to UT today. I can't wait to see how the cycle plays out for us. (I too check this stuff way too often).

Wow, that was a quick turn around time between TS1 and TS2! Congrats!!!
You are awesome! Thursday, January 8th, 2009 at 5:22 pm
My goodness! What amazing news. Now that you are in at HLS, how soon will you reveal your softs? For me for instance, my LSAT 5 points below yours so I really needed to highlight my work experience and extracurriculars. Would be helpful to know what yours are. Congrats again!
Tuesday, January 13th, 2009 at 7:32 pm
Woah, way to go on the Harvard acceptance! That gonna be the one for you?
Wednesday, January 14th, 2009 at 11:15 pm
I'm actually leaning pretty strongly toward UVa right now--especially after confirming that Texas firms are keen to hire UVa grads. Since I plan on working in Texas, it could be good to get away for a few years, y'know?
TS2 Thursday, January 15th, 2009 at 12:44 am
YAY! CONGRATS!!!
Monday, January 19th, 2009 at 4:28 pm

Thanks for your help on the top-law-schools forum (I am PublicHealthLaw). We have a lot of overlap on the schools we applied to and it looks like we might end up at the same place so keep in touch and good luck with everything!
