1/8-I am expecting the ball to really get rolling starting tomorrow(1/9) in relation the higher ranked schools that I applied too. To be truthful, I am not feeling all that hot about my cycle so far, I have found the scholarship offers from Miami and Northeastern to be very underwhelming. I am hoping that things pick up.

1/19-20k a year from Chicago-Kent is underwhelming. I would be forced to borrow around 45k a year which is out of the question considering Kent's poor job placement statistics. Also accepted into Wake Forest.

1/20-MSU sent me a "Why MSU" essay request, I sent them a withdrawal notification.

1/21-I am starting wonder if Wake forest is such a strong choice. It has a decent rank, but its in a state with two powerhouse law schools, UNC Chapel hill and Duke. I am certain that both of those schools crush wake forest grads.

1/23-Admitted to Loyola Chicago via email.

1/30- Admitted to Iowa on Friday 1-28, I am really thrilled, Iowa is now my top choice. I am really hoping for a generous scholarship offer.

2/17 I got WLed by UIUC, UW and IUB. I sent in LOCI for the first two, I am not sure if I will for IUB.

2/19 My cycle ain't over yet! I still believe things will turn out right. I have my faith in god.

2/27 Withdrew from OSU. I have been under review for far too long. Even if I were to be admitted, I know that I could never afford to go there.

4/13- Quite a lot has happened since my last update. As you can see. I have withdrawn from most of the schools on my list. Frankly, most of their offers were wildly unserious in terms of scholarship money. I had to borrow to attend undergrad, so I am very debt averse. I think the days of old when one could intelligently borrow 100k to attend a sub T-14 school are over, there are far too many law schools, cranking out far too many lawyers into an economy that has far too few jobs. When I first started I only cared about rank and prestige, but rank and prestige often lead to high prices. So alas, I am staying in state. FSU admitted me a few weeks back and offered me a good scholarship, combined with my instate status, I am looking at borrowing only to cover my living expenses. So I think FSU is where I will be.
