Honestly, it is a tough choice. If all I received were acceptances to Marquette and S. Carolina, it would depend on if Marquette gave any $$ out. If not, S. Carolina would definitely be my choice. Good luck to you on S. Carolina. From what I can tell, they are a great school. I will be watching your progress and wishing the best for you!

thanks for the msg man. If I were you I would let OSU know about your acceptance at CLEO if they dont already know. I think it will be helpful for them. I dont think letters of interest reall y help unless you have come across something worth sharing for instance increased LSAT score, accomplishments etc.

Congrats on Tech! You and I have similar numbers. How long between after being WL did they accept you? What do you think gave you "the bump?"

Hey I was placed in the active consideration category for Tech, too. Did you do anything after that letter (send another letter confirming that you're still interested)? You said they gave you a week and a half to send a deposit. Did you go ahead and send it?

Tech is such an awesome school! Everyone is so friendly--not too many snobs. Of course there are those freshmen who walk around in skirts/uggs and carry their louis v's to class! I've never actually been in the law school building, but it's a very pretty campus and sits right near the basketball arena. (Home of Bobby Knight, at least it was until a couple of weeks ago!) I graduated in Fall 06, so I've been working for about a year in Dallas. Hoping to go back there! Did you send your letter of interest to the Asst. Dean of Admissions? I'll probably send one tomorrow. I'm hoping that it won't take them long to make a decision. The wait is gruesome!

I definitely don't think that because the school is in Lubbock you won't have great job opportunities. Especially because I think Tech does a wonderful job in placing students into jobs after graduation, and I'm sure the law school is the same way! Tech is a highly recognized University in Texas and in all other surrounding states, so I don't think you can go wrong with it! Plus, the town is small, but always has something going on or something to do with football, student organizations, concerts, etc. Of course in law school, we may not have much time on our hands!!! SMU would be a great spot to be during law school and looking for job opportunities after school, but unfortunately it's harder to get into. Good luck and let me know what your decision is!
