I'm at Brandeis...how about you?

thanks =)
Monday, October 31 2005 at 07:00 PM

Hey- Thanks for the encouragement =) I've been procrastinating on the rest of my apps...but no, not yet complete at Harvard, I didn't send it in until mid November. How do you know when you're complete? Phone calls only, or is there another way?

Curriculum B
Monday, October 31 2005 at 07:00 PM

Hey- Not sure yet, I was hoping to get in touch with current students to see which they recommended. Do you know anything about it besides what is listed on the website? Again, good luck with the apps! Sarah

hi again

Email hotline? I'm not quite sure what you are talking about...could you explain? thanks =)

thanks so much!
Monday, October 31 2005 at 07:00 PM

Thanks again for sending that email, it was a great help. If you do hear back about Curriculum B, would you be able to forward that to me too? I figure I'll be asking them enough questions, might as well save the student volunteers some time. Happy holidays!

I noticed on someone's wall that you are interested in the Cur. B at G-Town. Like you, so am I. I think it would mesh well with my Philosophy background (and yours too I am sure). I did call G-town and ask some q's. They said it is a great study with awesome placement. However, they also said it is a little more rigorous than A (more reading!). Yet if I went there, I think I'd still do it.

And it's...

My Alma Mater! It's very weird, to say the least. But thanks for the kind words, and good luck for the rest of the cycle! ;-)

Yeah, I applied there, too. It is one of my top choices so I am def. crossing my fingers

Penn & Others

Shellbell, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too! Not that you need it! ;-)

thanks =)

Sorry it took me awhile to respond, but thanks so much for sending me that email with the Curriculum info! Happy holidays!

Fee Waivers...
Monday, November 21 2005 at 07:00 PM

Jon, For all the schools where I was above the 75% mark, I emailed the Dean of Admissions directly requesting a fee waiver to apply, if I didn't receive one automatically from LSAC. Many of them responded with shock that I hadn't automatically received one, several said they don't grant such fee waivers, some didn't even know what I was talking about, and others emailed me back with specific numbers to qualify for fee waivers, in which case, I met the mark. I definitely think it's always worth asking! :-)

nice choices

Hey- thanks for your post. You have some great options. Can't believe about BC...Have a great new year!

Re: Your post
Wednesday, May 25 2005 at 08:00 PM

Yeah, I am pretty excited to hear back from most of my schools (but I did apply EA). Too bad most were deferrals (don't get me wrong, I love the fact that I haven't been rejected anywhere...yet). But I did get into some pretty amazing schools (as did you) so even if all of the ones that have yet to render a decisions deny me admission, I know I will still be going to LS. Good Luck on the rest of your apps (and I still can't get over BC)

Happy New Year
Friday, December 09 2005 at 07:00 PM

Hey- Happy New Year to you, too. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I was a little surprised by the deferal as well, but I didn't write the Why Penn? and not many who didn't write it got in first go around. I will supplement my application with it because Penn actually is a school I am quite interested in. Very surprising on BC- oh well, you have many other fine choices.

December LSAT

What do you mean by a ridiculous scale? Was it really easy? I'm curious to see the scoring scale if you can get it perhaps? Thanks

BC

mm i guess it's just not meant to be? thanks for the good wishes, don't let BC get you down--you have some tough choices to make! congrats!

sorry to be redundant but I can't believe you weren't admitted to BC. maybe they knew you'd move on to bigger and better schools?! congrats on your cycle so far!

Columbia Waitlist
Friday, December 02 2005 at 07:00 PM

Thanks! Yeah, I like Boston, too, but I'd love to see some of my deferrals turn into acceptances (congrats on all of yours, btw!), so I guess I'm hoping I don't end up there in the near future. My Columbia waitlist letter did come today (Saturday). Here's hoping your letter will come in a bigger envelope!

HLS
Friday, November 04 2005 at 07:00 PM

Yeah, I got both calls from Toby. Interestingly enough, I was admitted on the same day that the FinAid office sent out a bunch of email, and I didn't get Toby's call until later in the early evening (let's just say I know his day isn't 8-to-5). So it was kind of anticlimactic, because I didn't get my acceptance until I already knew I was in from the FinAid email. Just a comment -- I thought LSAT splits always rounded up. Are you sure LSDAS is reporting you as 172 and not 173? I know it's only one point but at places like HYSCCN it's not an insignificant difference.

Hey, I honestly don't remember exactly when I went complete at Harvard. I'm pretty sure it was the end of Nov. or early Dec. Sorry! Good luck!! (If it helps, I received a "hold" letter about a week ago. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing...do you?)

I am not actually 3of3 in my graduating class, but my school doesn't keep track of that as far as I know, so I have no idea. Why did you apply to so many schools and why are you so concerned with scholarship money? You must have known that you'd be in at G-Town and Michigan, so there's no reason to fret the cost. You'll be taken care of when you get out.

Withdrawing
Thursday, September 22 2005 at 08:00 PM

I will be withdrawing from five or six schools over the weekend. I'll update accordingly when the W/D's are sent. Good luck everyone!

wow, congrats on your acceptances! go to michigan!

Congrats
Friday, December 09 2005 at 07:00 PM

Just wanted to leave you some love on LSN and tell ya how great all your acceptances look. This crazy game is finally winding down- and now the real hard part starts!! Where to go? Where to go?

Penn
Wednesday, May 25 2005 at 08:00 PM

I am hoping to make it to penn for their admitted students weekend, but I am not sure because I would have to fly. I'm not too sure that I could afford it, but I def. want to revisit the school (and the city) and am trying to work out the logistics. If I go, I will be sure to pm you on LSD and we'll have to find each other during the weekend's programs.

but not narrow, as they say, to answer the previous poster. To all PENN people, see you in the Fall! I'm glad to see so many other "older" attendees ... so I won't be the only one not fresh out of UG! I guess this kind of winds things down ... now what are we supposed to do with all the time we've been using to obsess about law school decisions?

campus
Friday, May 05 2006 at 08:00 PM

I chose carlisle because I like the area better, but I am starting to think that university park might be the better choice. I am just not a fan of giant campuses. Good luck at Penn. Maybe you can give me a job someday.
