well i guess the saying attests that its lonely on the top but I am starting to believe the middle sucks when you're applying to law school The worst part about this is that I cannot tell... Goodluck to you!
yeah, only some schools have them unfortunately. good luck!
I'm really excited about the prospect of going to Chicago. I'd love to hear a CHicagoan's perspective on Loyola and DePaul. Living near campus, relative job prospects....those sorts of things. Best of luck
congrats on both acceptances!!! more to come, i'm sure
Thanks for the congrats and congrats to you too! Yeah, I noticed that we applied to many of the same schools! I applied part-time to most of mine though. Let's cross our fingers and hope for more acceptances before the holidays!
Congrats to you as well! Congrats on LUC...I hope I hear from them soon!
you too! doesn't it feel good to finally get an acceptance...talk about a smile
At least that's what I'm telling myself! Good luck with the Michigan Deferral. Mich > Northwestern anyways. Why did you take your numbers down? Do Adcomms look on LSN? Please email me and let me know.
What do you think about SMU? I got that same phone call from the '41 alum. On a side note, I've heard great things about Wisconsin and Wash U. Good Luck!
I've heard great things about Dallas and the school seems to have great job prospects in that area. I want to check it out for myself though.
we've got similar numbers/schools...what are your thoughts on American? Have you looked into any scholarships, grants, etc?
As of now, American is my number one, as I've been deferred at Wake (where I'd ultimately like to attend.) The cost of living and tuition at American is unsettling, though. Did you like the campus? I have yet to visit. Early in the process, I considered SMU, as I am originally from Dallas, but never applied, especially after hearing from American so early. It depends on where you'd like to practice, ultimately. I'd like to wind up in the South, but would not discount the Midwest. It may be too late, but I may apply to SMU and Emory for the hell of it. Loyola Chi is a great school and they are quick to offer scholarships, but staying in Chicago for law school is not in the cards for me. I'd rather be further removed from the city for a while. I attended IU for undergrad; if you get in, you should strongly consider attending.
all those decisions already! For UT, they are very tough on non-residents, i was deferred from EA as a resident with only a 158.
I am wondering if maybe that is because they just want to accept all of the "for sure ins" first and will start accepting some lower LSATs later in teh game. Interestingly, they also have not rejected anyone yet...
Hey there :) Soo I noticed on someone's wall that the WashU deposit is due April 15th. Does that mean that they'll have to let us know of their decision before that? It seems odd that everyone would have the deposit due on the same day regardless of when they hear their decision. If you get in a few days before the deposit is due, there's no time to visit and really see if you want to put the money down. Frustrating!
Hey there :) Sorry to see about WashU, but I suppose it's just nice to know so oyu can move on with decision making. Which way are you leaning, and what will the decision be based on at this point?
Thanks! Yeah, it feels really good to be done with the whole application/decision thing. I love Dallas and the campus is gorgeous...let me know if/when you decide SMU for sure!
hey, im considering turing down good offers from higher ranked schools to attend chi-kent and live in chicago. am i crazy? do you have any sense of what kind of students attend chicago-kent? thanks, and maybe ill meet you this fall.
Good luck on your apps! We have similar numbers...any tips?
