Out of college for over a year now - will have nearly 2 years Big 4 work experience by late spring.
3 LORs total:
- All academic despite work experience
PS was really good (concerned obstacles overcome to get where I am today...) after the 45,679 attempts to make it ideal...
Sent out my applications a little later than I wanted to, but I am hoping for the best!
11/3 - Got e-mail from Suffolk , SMU, and USF that they received my application. Also got a postcard from UMiami that they received my app as well and it was complete (nothing was checked off as missing).
11/6 - Considering applying to Pacific-McGeorge and Southwestern - if I do apply, it'll have to be this week so I'm not too late in the game.
12/2 - Received acceptance letter from University of Miami today - YAY! Letter was in standard business-size envelope but the envelope but had three other papers included with the letter so the envelope wasn't too thin. I am really considering this school - first acceptance so far!
12/14 - Received acceptance letter from University of San Diego today - another YAY! Letter came in a manila letter-sized envelope (not standard business envelope) and was very thin so at first I thought it would be a rejection, but sure enough, I'm IN for the evening program!
12/20 - Received phone call from SMU - Dedman! I'm in for the part-time program! Acceptance materials are in the mail!!! Triple YAY! =)
12/22 - Great week for responses! Got acceptance letter via snail mail from Santa Clara U! Applied EA. No mention of money though, but oh well. Applied to both programs and got into full-time program!!! Quadruple YAY!!!
1/9 - After the dry spell in regards to responses, I got an acceptance for the evening division at Suffolk Law - yay! Definitely a school to consider as I wouldn't have to relocate and could work at my current job... Oh, acceptance came in big white (8 1/2 by 11) envelope and there was a nice folder in the envelope so it was pretty sturdy.
1/27 - Well, looks like my acceptance streak is done as I got waitlisted from American today. Waitlist papers came in an envelope that is about half the size of an 8.5x11 envelope - it was bigger than a regular business envelope. It also came regular mail as opposed to priority (which is what the acceptances came in from what I've seen here). I don't think I'll stay on the waitlist and will most likely withdraw so others can have the spots that free up.
2/5 - Got waitlist letter from U of San Francisco today. Knew it was waitlist before I even opened the envelope (probably due to the recent wave of waitlists that I've been seeing here and just had a gut feeling). Envelope was standard business sized (white) envelope and you could tell there was more than one paper in there before even opening it. I'm kind of surprised by the WL as my LSAT falls in the range but then again, it was probably my average (which is lower than what I have posted) that killed me as USF still takes averages. Oh well...
2/7 - Yay, waitlist streak may be over as I got a phone call from SLU today offering me admission in both programs (PT & FT). So that is another option . Yay!
2/9 - What a week for acceptances! Got a phone call today from Loyola - Chicago congratulating me on my acceptance and that acceptance materials have gone out in the mail! Even though I'm set on going to San Diego - I really want to keep this an option...
2/20 - I GOT INTO LOYOLA - LA TODAY!!!! YAY YAY YAY!!!! Just waiting for this school was giving me an ulcer so I'm more than ecstatic about this acceptance!!! Admission letter came in big white envelope and letter itself was in a Loyola folder. =) So happy!!! This was a reach for me...
